I think I have asked this before and didn’t get much of a response. DS16 and I are flying out next month on SW and using DME for our transportation to Pop. We will be going to the parks as soon as we get checked in at the hotel. I am trying to compile a list of things I should put in my carry on (which is a smallish backpack) that we will need at the parks but also that we would need in case our luggage gets lost.

Here is what I have come up with so far:

camera
battery charger
rechargeable batteries
prescription meds
advil
sunglasses
suntan lotion (in baggy)
contact solution (in baggy)
money
ID’s
tickets
boarding passes
disney tickets
hotel confirmation
Ipods
cell phones
chargers for each
calling card (we don’t have nationwide on cell)
insurance cards

Most anything else we could buy at the hotel if needed (toothbrush, toothpaste, pj’s even if needed, deoderant) Any other items I should include?

I like to have a change of clothes if it's going to be a big change in temp from where we flew from.
My basic rule of thumb is....anything that I can't easily replace gets put into my carryon. Electronics, passes, ID's, money, that sort of thing.

I also add a change of clothes, Clean undies and jersey at least. That way we are set for a day or so, if necessary.

I also include a change of underwear and tshirt. Of course, you can always wash out the undies in the sink if necessary! :laundy: Other stuff I can always buy. Don't forget though, that there are liquid limits in your carryon, only so many ounces allowed. Not sure how big your contact solutions & suntan lotion bottles are, but remember to keep the limits in mind when packing.

I have one of those little bitty bottles of Coppertone Sport that has the fastener thing on it you can hook onto your beltloop or whatever. I will get those small bottles from Wal-Mart to put my contact solution in. This backpack is not very big so I think I will skip a change of clothes. If it comes down to it and they lose our luggage I can always buy us a change of clothes. Hopefully all will go smoothly and our luggage will be there when we return to our room.

All the suggestions made already would be what I would add: change of clothes & underwear, swimsuit, light jacket or sweatshirt.

Have a great time!
