What to present to DS after musical??

My DS has 1 of the few starring roles in the 4th grade musical his class is putting on.
I know traditionally females receive flowers after a performance but what does one give boys?? Anything??

I've seen males get flowers as well. Then they usually give them to their leading lady.

The junior high and high school boys at the school where I work usually get flowers after a performance (from girls of course ).

I'd think for someone so young, maybe your son would like to come home to a big cake.

We usually invite the people that attend DS's performances back to the house for coffee and cake...I've never seen any of the boys receive flowers at DS school, so be careful as not to embarass him. What we think is a great idea sometimes isn't!!

My DS just had his talent show and I had the same dilemma...someone suggested that I make up a candy bag or the like, and it was a big hit! He had done a Star Wars dance w/another boy, so I found a Darth Vader mylar balloon and light saber candy, bubble gum tape, just things that are their favorites. I also attached a "awesome dancer" ribbon (from dollar store) to each of their bags. I also had a juice bag in their and boy did they drink that down fast!

Balloons with a stuffed animal attached, or a giant chocolate bar.

My 13 year old son had a nice part in the Middle School Play last weekend and he left me strict orders not to give him flowers.

I actually went way overboard and got him a Walkman CD player because his just broke

I like the box of candy and balloon idea. A big sheet cake for the whole cast would be nice. That is what we do after our play.
