We're down to only 9 more days until our first visit to DLP! We're all very excited and grateful to all those on this board for your helpful advice and for always being able to fill in the gaps. :thumbsup2

I've already begun packing and will be making a run to the stores this weekend to hopefully grab the few things on my list I think we'll need (just your basic Disney necessities)....but as we've never been to this park...

Are there any suggestions on things to pack that you always take with you, or wish you had thought to take or remember too late that you needed? Any fun ideas (for example, I have loads of glow sticks, a new Pixar book for DS for the drive, that was suggested on these boards...etc.)...We'll be driving (from Germany) so that makes it a bit easier, space wise. ;)

It's me, DH and DS (10)...

9 more days - time for a SDD then!!!

Don't forget a first aid kit with Calpol (or similar) and plasters for any blisters.

Chargers for your phone/camera/video camera etc and memory cards.

Clothes for all weathers, layers are the key!

Spare shoes in case one pair gets wet.

Drinks bottle or cartons, snacks, baby wipes (I know your DS is 10 - but you can clean any mess with those!)

List of addresses for anyone you want to send a card to.

Hope you have a safe trip! :drive:

11 more sleeps for us! :cheer2:

Hats, gloves and scarfs! Sounds obvious but I forgot to pack them last year and ended up having to buy them while there.

We're off on Wednesday and I'm going to pack tomorrow!
We've all got hats and gloves, and the oldest has some thermals, (tights for the baby)
Lots of layers, the weather seems slightly warmer than here (Yorkshire) but outside all day may feel colder!
Spare shoes are a good idea too we'll be taking them and a spare coat too.
First aid kit
Snacks and drinks (very expensive in the park to buy drinks)
And don't forget your chargers!

Great ideas!

Lol....I always remember to pack and electronics, and also always forget to pack the cords... Now added to the list.... :thumbsup2

How about ponchos? I know most winter coats are padded but aren't always super waterproof. I have just bought one for each of us just in case we get caught in a torrential downpour.

I am also taking those one use hand warmer packs you can get - to slip inside of gloves or coats in case it really is very cold. Hope not to need them but you never know and I'd rather be prepared.

I always take a huge amount of medicines to DLRP with us as it isn't easy to buy stuff there - things like Calpol, sore throat sweets, cold capsules. I end up like a chemist but I'd so rather have every option covered then have to start going to Val D'Europe or whatever.

We all have thermals and thermal heat hugger socks too!

Little packs of tissues - cold weather makes noses run! Lipsalve and hand cream.

Probably been mentioned but chunky pen for autographs - characters find them easier at any time of year and with cold hands/gloves it is even more important.

Have fun! :cheer2:
