We'll be a group of 5 adults eating lunch at the Liberty Tree Tavern in November (not on the dining plan but with the DDE). I'd like to know what you all recommend ordering? I've read that the pot roast is good, but don't really know too much about the other choices. We don't mind sharing, so any suggestions are very welcome as to appetizers, entrees, and desserts!

Also, is the LTT as good or better than the Plaza for lunch? We've eaten at the Plaza often and I wanted to try something different!

Thanks! :grouphug:

We really enjoy lunch at LTT, I always order the chicken/pasta dish. Very good and easily enough for 2 people to eat. Always hot and fresh.
Salad is good as is the fried cheese.

Bev

I really like the turkey dinner. Real turkey, not pressed, good dressing, and great potatoes and gravy. I think the veggie was fresh green beans. All very good.

Jerry

for lunch at LTT we always start with the crab cakes, then on to the turkey dinner, and finish with whatever dessert has chocolate!

(since the DDP doesn't include appetizers, we'll pay OOP for the crab cakes when we go in december - they're that good!)

is the sandwich heard round the world - fabulous!!!

I have never in my life had crab cakes! We live in Ontario Canada, and they are just not something you see here...... yet they seem to be everywhere at WDW!!:goodvibes

I will definitely have to try them this trip!!

The fried cheese is the best i've ever had! White cheddar nuggets...mmmm. And it was a BIG serving too. We are paying OOP for this app when we dine there for free dining! Also loved the butter griddled pound cake but i'm not sure it's still there :(. It was my fave dessert in the world.

Dh and I like the Colony Salad. Ds loves the chicken pasta dish---practically licks the plate clean and it's a HUGE serving (he's 15, enough said!) Dd13 really likes the turkey dinner. She can't eat the stuffing due to a soy allergy so the chef gives her double potatoes :)

LTT is such a nice place for lunch, very low-key. The darkness inside along with the a/c make for a restful lunch during the hot months.

Just be aware, the ladies room is upstairs and is very very very small.

My hubby and I ate there for the first time last year and we both had the burger and absolutely loved it. I know some people don't like to get burgers because they can be had anywhere but these burgers were AMAZING. We finished our meal with the griddled pound cake and vanilla ice cream and I thought I had died and went to heaven [I love pound cake]. We'll be going to LTT again for lunch in September and we can't wait!

Believe them about the fried cheese! It is well worth it! Last year we got the fried cheese and split the Salad. I am not a big salad eater but LOVED it. Was one of those fruit / vinegar dressing. Had apple and chicken in it. and was shredded. If you like dreamcycles> try the "punch" it comes with the mug. That is also excellent.;)

Tavern Fried Cheese
William Penn Chicken Pasta
Strawberry Shortcake

One of my favorite meals in all of WDW!!!!!!!!!!!!! :goodvibes :thumbsup2

Its hard to say what you may like, your taste buds are your own! What one person may love, others may dislike. A million people in the world could tell me the lobster is fabulous, but I would still not order it as I dont like lobster.

As for the pot roast, yes, its good, but that is my opinion. The gravy is peppery with mushrooms. I love black pepper and mushrooms. Do you?

Here is their lunch menu....what do YOU like?

Maryland Crab Cake - a lightly fried Blue Crab Cake on roasted corn succotash with tartar sauce $7.49

Their pot roast cant be beat but my favorite dish by far is the William Penn Pasta followed by the tri-corner sandwich. I also really like their tavern fried cheese and the Carmel Apple Tart.

You people are just so great! Thanks so much for all of the responses! I wasn't sure if this was a good choice for our group, but now I'm totally pumped to try it!! :dance3:

Any more suggestions will be great! And thanks again!:grouphug:

DH and I have eaten there several times, ordering different items. We have always enjoyed the food. You really need to look at the menu and go with the food that appeals to you most. That said, the one thing that we order every time is crabcakes.

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
