Hi! I know everyone's experiences with San Angel have been varied, but my boyfriend has always wanted to eat here because of the gorgeous atmosphere. Since I've chosen all restaurants except 2 (his other choice was Ohana) we are definitely going. We adore Mexican food (both the "Americanized" form like chain restaurants have as well as the more authentic- prepared by the mother of a Nicaraguan friend (quite different!) Has anyone eaten here and enjoyed their meal? If so what did you order?
Aloha, Lulu

I was thinking of ordering the "taco salad" for lunch

We love San Angel Inn! :) Looking back at the menu, I'm pretty sure I had Filete Motuleno . And it was good. My bf had Plato Mexicano and loved it.

Make sure you order the salad "ensalada de la casa".. - the house dressing is SOOO good.

Love San Angel Inn! This is a "must-do" on every trip for us. Since you guys love all types of Mexican food, I'm sure you'll like this place. My DW and I are the same way--we love all types of Mexican: American-ized and authentic.
DW usually gets either the Plato Nationale or the Nachos de Pollo, and I always get the Plato Mexicano (and of course a few margaritas to wash it down :cool1: ).
If you have room, try the desserts. We have only had the Chocolate Chimichanga, but we love it and get it every trip no matter how stuffed we are at the end of the meal. By far our favorite dessert at WDW.
Have a great trip. Order another margarita for me!

Queso Fundido is outstanding - it has been on the menu from the very early days of EPCOT.

The Mole Poblano is outstanding! I'm still thinking about how good it was almost a year later!

We ate here for lunch and enjoyed it! I got the Plato Mexicano, and DH got the steak. Both of us had a shredded chicken burrito on our plates and it was very tasty. And my frozen margarita was outstanding! DD tried the churros for dessert. Tasted like one of those french doughnuts - just okay.

Know there's been lots of negative reviews about this place, but our family liked it. Don't recall exactly what we ordered, but thought you should know that some people liked it.

This has always been a must do for our family. We go there every trip, and we enjoy the food and the atmosphere. The only thing that bothered me on our last trip was the chips and salsa. The chips were so thick and tasted strange.

I had a shrimp and angel hair dish that was so popular with my family that I hardly had a taste myself! Atmosphere was neat and my kids really loved this place...

We love San Angel

I have tried both the Polla a las Rajas and the Mole Poblano, but I definitely prefered the Pollo a las Rajas, which is chicken served with red peppers, chile poblano, onions, chorizo, and melted cheese... yummm, I still drool thinking about it! The chips they set out on the table are great too-- I imagine the nachos would be as well.

Have fun!

When we ate here for lunch, Dw had one of the combination plates. It was good, but not great. I had the Pollo A Las Rajas, and we both absolutely loved it! We'll definitely come back here.

DH and I both had the Plato Mexicano and enjoyed it very much. DD had nachos and said they were good. And the margaritas are fabulous!

Hi Everybody!

Do the beef tacos, burritos, etc. have ground beef or shredded beef?

All this is making me hungry!
