We're planning on having dinner at Jiko first weke in June. After looking at the menu, I was wonderng what is a must order at Jiko? The Swahili Curry Shrimp sounds interesting as do the stuff peppers. Decisions, decisions.... There

Thanks for the post - it all sounds yummy, but was so happy to hear that the bread/dips and pistachio creme brulee are winners as they sounds super yummmy. Thanks for the heads up on the curry shrimp. I like spicy, but that dish sounds off of my charts spicy.

I always got the braised lamb shank, but it may not be on the menu any longer(?). The filet is an excellent choice. And they have a BBQ chicken flatbread that I always order. In fact, any of their flatbreads are a good choice.

We've been enough times to have tried just about everything on the menu. The best entree is the filet/mac and cheese. Honestly, I think their appetizers are the best thing on the menu. We enjoy the flatbreads and they also will do a sampler platter of various appetizers that's really fun too. The soups are excellent. I've never been over the moon for any of the desserts but they are okay.

I get the filet WITHOUT the mac 'n cheese under it. Of course they look at me like I'm crazy, but I hate mac 'n cheese.

Jiko is sooo yummy.

I love love love the filet and the mac and cheese is to die for!

My favorite entree anywhere at WDW is the fish (sometimes it's halibut, sometimes sturgeon) with sweet potato crispies at Jiko.

The Kenyan Coffee Barbecue Beef Short Ribs are incredible. Fall off the bone tender and sooooo delicious.

I agree the filet is very good, but one of the best things I've ever eaten at WDE was this

Spiced Ostrich Filet - with creamed sweet potatoes and pomegranate gastrique

It is like the most tender piece of beef ever, even though it's a bird, it certainly doesn't taste like one!

I agree about the short ribs. I think they are the BEST thing on the menu. We always get the taste of Africa for the table and then try other apps. I usually try the soup - it changes seasonally but I've never had a soup there I didn't like

I loved the maize crusted halibut (menu now says sturgeon) amazing! My daughter said that the filet and mac and cheese was the best steak of our trip. She had one at yachtmans steakkhouse and at narcossees. The cheese appetizer with a glass of red wine was a great start to a lovely meal.

I have this thing where i CANT order the same thing as my hubby :-)
So he got the filet/mac and i got something else i dont remember. What i had was yummy but was NOTHING compared to the one taste i had of his filet and mac adn cheese!
SOOOOO good.
I also had a REALLY good glass of reisling there (ok, maybe a few glasses)...
And I also ordered zebra domes for dessert from boma which were happily brought over for us.
The service here was wonderful!!!!

Our favorite WDW restaurant is Jiko. I always get the coffee bbq chicken flatbread appetizer (to die for) and the filet with mac/cheese. This is NOT your "regular" Kraft Mac and cheese, not even close. It is white cheese and wonderful! If I have room for dessert it is the pistachio creme brulee. Excellent, IMHO.

The Tanzanian Chocolate Cheesecake with lavender ice cream was one of the best cheesecakes I've ever tasted. The ice cream was gorgeous too.
