We are going to "apply" to all 3 I think, despite the fees. The application fees are: St. Josephs is $100, Faith is $75 and Midway is $125.
Acutally I think all three schools use the classical method of teaching -- they are just using different publishers (A Beka, Saxon, etc.) for the textbooks. Honestly I wish my gut was telling me something more..........I like all 3 and any of them will probably be fantastic........I am just not sure how to eliminate even one since these 3 are the ones we can afford.
I think we are going to have the hardest time get accepted to St. Josephs only because we aren't currently practicing Catholics.
Kristine have you picked out a school yet?
lastminutemom -- I would love to send DD to Walker but it is just not possible for us. Our neighbors DS goes to Walker and they are very happy but then they also bought a Porsche to "fit in" in the carpool line............we can afford 13 years of private school (DD is an only child which helps us some) just not at Walker prices.........also a private high school will be a huge priority for us. DH went to a private Catholic high and absolutely got a first class education all the way. Another reason we are looking at the less expensive schools here in Cobb is to ensure we can afford all 13 years. Currently I SAH and our goal is for me to go back to work and "bank" the following years tuition ahead of time. So we will hopefully have tuition covered for the next year ahead by doing this. We have actually already started and should have the 2008 tuition in the bank before school starts this summer.
As you sound like you know our area has awesome schools both public and private so it is difficult to decide exactly what do and where to spend that money!
