What to expect?

Considering the change in circumstances (we lost our unborn baby yesterday) we have decided that we might take another trip to the US this year (October).

We have discussed maybe going to Disneyland, California, since my family has never been there.

We´re just finding it hard to figure out what to expect (I haven´t been there in 12 years), moneywise. What are the prices in California compared to Florida? I´m mostly wondering about meal prices and such out of the parks.

I´ve already posted a similar question on the Disneyland board, but since it's really quiet over there I haven´t recieved any answers.

Thanks!

I can't really speak for California, but I can tell you if your plan involves driving and having to buy gas you can expect to spend a LOT of money. Gas prices in California are especially high and they say the prices are only going to get higher before they start going down :(

I so sorry about the baby.

We were in DL in Dec and the food prices were about the same as WDW. We ate in several DTD places but nothing outside of Disney. As far as hotels, we stayed at Paradise Pier and really liked it. We got a stay 4 nights pay for 3 deal so the price was really good. What's so nice about DL as compared to WDW is that many offsite hotels are still w/i walking distance.

I am not sure, but I just wanted to say how sorry I am about your baby. :( You deserve a nice vacation!

Can't help with your questions, but wanted to let you know how sorry I am to hear about the loss of your baby. God bless you.

I don't know either, though California in general tends to be expensive. I am so sorry about your baby.
