In the grip of a progressive illness.

If you sign into your MDE account and choose "MagicBands and Cards", then choose the person, and if you scroll down, it should give you the option to deactivate each band associated with your account. You can reactivate or "report as lost" there, too. It will group them according to the type of band they are, I have a bunch under MB+ and then others as just the regular old MB's. There is even an option for admission cards and to create/change a PIN to use the band to charge to a room account.
We always activate/deactivate based on which MBs are going with us on the trip. But we had GR actually delete some really old ones for us, which we could not do ourselves.

Gotcha! I need to do a good clean up myself!

It was actually a bit embarrassing how many we removed! Definitely goes back to Brian's original post - an illness....!!

I suffer from it, too! I said this year no new MB's since I already have 4 of the MB+ bands in addition to too many of the regular ones. Well, then the Tinkerbell green color came out (my favorite color), so I broke down and bought it. I justified it because I saved $10 by buying it through an upcoming reservation...

I keep losing one of our chargers... Which is a good excuse to buy a new one instead of just buying a charger lol. I have 3 MB+ now, the first one was just a generic one, the best I found on site that trip, then the blue and white DVC band, and now I got an anniversary Three Caballeros one to use on our next trip!

I wish they would make the bands and the actual "magic" part separate, like the way Apple watches are. Then you could swap out your bands to match outfits without having to completely activate a new one. Then they could also be cheaper, and people would be more likely to purchase many different ones and not feel like they are wasting an electronic device to do so.

I had an addiction to the first generation MBs - cute designs, not too expensive etc. Then the MB2 came out, with the removable puck, and I started using first a holder on a lanyard and then a watchband slider that let me wear the plain colored puck on my Apple Watch. Much more convenient than having a watch plus a MB on my wrist or on separate wrists! And I’d get a new one every couple of years so I didn’t have to worry about the battery dying.

The MB+ having a themed puck really threw me, and for a while I was afraid I’d succumb to addiction again, but the cost was a deterrent. Finally they came out with an Oswald that I couldn’t resist, and that’s it, I’m done. I bought a watchband slider that fits it as well as an adapter so I can charge it in the slider (have to take the slider off the watchband, though, which is annoying), and I am not going to buy any more! I am not, I am not.…

I have my small mountain of MB as well, but my real addiction is Cheshire cat's merchandise. I recognize I have a problem, but still nowhere near solving it.

Arriving on Friday and was double checking to see if our MagicBand+ needed a software update and clicked into the regular MagicBand section to discover so many old bands. I deactivated them except for my favorite Dooney and Burke patriotic one. I was almost tempted to take it instead of the MagicBand+. I'll have to shop for a new band while I'm there, even though I REALLY don't need one. 🤣

I had one for years, still works great even for pictures, swore I'd never buy another one. Then I saw a Muppets one. So now I have two. I have no plans to buy more. Famous last words. LOL

Mine are ears. I have a wall display of them, but yet . . . need more, always more.
This is my adult daughter. Her display is in our guest room (which is Disney themed of course.) There are 34 on our wall currently and she's got probably another 10-12 hidden in a bin somewhere. She has made some of her ears (has an Etsy shop).

I have a Pandora charm and t-shirt illness. My youngest is addicted to hoodies. My poor husband has to pay for it all...

Never had the desire to use one.
I do have a CM, prerelease test MB and it’s still in the box.
