What kind of limited edition merch will there be?

Is it obvious what is expo merch? There aren't Disney stores in Australia so I don't want to waste expo time on items I could buy from a normal store the next day.

They have Expo excusive merchandise. Usually they bring in Mickey's of Glendale which is an imagineering exclusive store. They also usually have other shops set up in the convention center for expo exclusive merchandise. Some people spend the entire day in merchandise lines.

It'll be pretty obvious. Most expo exclusive from Disney store will be gone first thing but regular expo shop stuff usually sticks around.

So I've got a Sorcerer ticket and it advertises "Exclusive shopping time in the D23 Expo Dream Store, Disney Store, and Mickey’s of Glendale".

Is this the day before the expo or during the expo? Is this still really crowded from all the sorcerer ticket holders?

So you remember any of the names who were there?
The music division had a bunch of M&Gs/signings , including Bobby Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez and a few other Disney Channel actors/singers.

The TV division also did M&Gs , the biggest of which was the "Once Upon a Time " signing with the evil queen and Emma Swan . You had to buy the $150 dolls to get signed for that one .

The best part , for me anyway , was the M&Gs with Imagineers. Marty did a book signing . Joe Rohde was at the Avatar exhibit . And Tony Baxter and Tom Morris were at a comic book signing . So much fun to chat with them all!

We are looking to go in 2019 so I will be paying close attention in 2017. The biggest issue I have is that the two presentations I am most interested in are the Live Action and the Theme Parks, and it sure seems like you would have to choose between one or the other to get in to unless you get a Socerer's Pass which forget about it...

Last year people were definitely able to do both. To my knowledge Theme Parks did not actually fill all the way up you just were in the overflow area if you were too late.

You have Thursday and then I believe the first hour before the floor opens to anyone else. Most exclusives at DIsney Store and Mickey's of Glendale's is actually purchased by Sorcerer's package holders since they get the jump on the line.

Especially because they increased the size of the venue last year.

We got in line for Live Action at 4am on Saturday and then when Iger announced Star Wars Land at the end of live action (and promised details to come at the Theme Parks panel ) , we headed directly back to the line for theme parks . We had no issues seeing both .

My guess is "BatB" will get the "Frozen Fandemonium" treatment in 2017. They had the Lopezes walk you through most of the songs and had the cast members (sans Idina) there to perform them. It ended up being an unexpected highlight of the Expo for me.

For the record, we were in line at 4 a.m. for live action and had no issues getting in.

I was wondering which day the Cast showed up was it at the live action on Saturday? Thanks!!

It was Sunday night on a known Frozen panel. I would say the only real surprise panelists were Daisy Ridley and John Boyega at Live action but especially the fact they were at Disney interactive as well!

Uggghhhh....still mad about missing the live action panel. I got there at 6AM and they said it was full. It made me arrive at 4AM the next day for the Disney Interactive Panel which was completely unnecessary....although ended up with great seats. I walked right into the Frozen panel and that was amazing.

I got a 2 day pass for free and enjoyed myself however it is basically lines for days. I did get about 8 Disney Infinity Characters for free....RIP Disney Infinity.

Does anyone know when the schedule of events is usually made public? I can't go all the days, but I would like to see what some of the panels are before deciding which days. In the meantime, I'm afraid that the tickets will sell out.

I expect to slowly hear some stuff but no concrete schedule until about a week or two before the event.

Thanks for the info. I'm crying on the inside that I may miss some of the things I want to see because I need to buy tickets sooner than that.

It is honestly hard to say. 2013 didn't even have a parks panel and legends happened during the time period parks did last year. Seems like interactive is always Sunday and live action is always Saturday but everything else is up in the air. Of course interactive may not even have a panel I wouldn't be able to guess on that one until E3 in June happens.

Saturday typicall sells out first, I believe (mainly because live-action and the parks/resorts panel is that day).
