What to expect for DL's 60th anniversary in 2015 (Starting May 22)

The castle will be under a tarp from late January until March 3rd. So it's possible the castle embellishments will be seen as early as that. (In case anyone was interested.)

Maybe it's just me, but it seems like terrible planning to do all of these refurbs during the spring break season. Aside from Christmas-New Years, it is one of the busiest seasons of the year. Not only will those hoards of guests miss out of the 60th anniversary excitement, but they'll also be missing out on many of their favorite rides and experiences. And having so many rides closed will make the parks more crowded, and the lines for other rides even longer. :confused3

Well, there's a LOT to do so they have to spread it out over January - early May.

Plus, the big Spring Break season in DL is when the school aged kids are on break. Not sure when that is for Orange County kids but L.A. is out the week leading up until Easter, which is late March-early April.

We will be there the end of May. Can't wait to find out details.

If everything falls into place we are shooting for early June.

Not that most folks would be able to go, but it does look like January 28 is one of the days when information about the 60th released! Hopefully someone gets to go and can report back here!

Hmm..so DL closes at 6 that day and now some special event has taken over the Frozen Fun area at the same time? I'd hoped to see the Frozen fun night time stuff that night since I'm doing F! the next. Does anyone know if this will close off the Frozen area to regular guests?

They should close ALL of Innoventions...forever. I couldnt see the pictures...never opened :(

KCmike the pictures would not load for me either. Maybe you can post them, as I am very curious. I was at the 50th and plan to be there for the 60th as well. I sure hope Disney plans special events for the anniversary! At the 50th I said I would be happy if I got a piece of birthday cake, as you know it was better than that and I did get cake! :tink:

RUMOR MILL -----

Rumors are out that they might close the first floor of Innoventions for the 60th Anniversary to put on nostalgia displays.
