What to eat at the Kona Cafe?

I've probably eaten there about 20 times with different people and have never heard a complaint about the food. Their noodle dish is excellent, for lunch or dinner(I'm a veg so I can't comment on the other food). The pineapple pancakes are probably my single favorite food item at WDW. And if you love chocolate have a Kileaua torte for dessert.

I've never eaten lunch there, but love the macadamia pineapple pancakes or Tonga toast for breakfast. My husband gets the Big Kahuna.:rolleyes1 For dinner he likes the Teriyaki steak and I love either the Tuna Oscar or Pomegranite Pork Chop. The mahi mahi is also very good though.

what she said......:thumbsup2

We have eaten at the Kona each time we have gone to Disney. I believe the Kona is Disney's best kept secret. It is awesome. I usually get the prime rib and of course a kona Kone!!:)

For lunch, we love the island chicken sandwich and the chicken with peanut sauce-- MMM!

I'm having a hard time finding a description of the Kona Kone... could anyone tell me more about it??

For breakfast, they have this incredible egg dish, I think it's called the Somoan. I had it once but it was out of this world!! I strongly recommend trying this! It's a poached egg with a sauce and some smoked sausage bits. I've never had anything like it before or since! But the next time I go, I'm having that for breakfast!

Out of this world!!

More votes for the teriyaki steak and noodle entrees, both fabulous. Also, the dessert fondue is to die for!

The kona kone is a large waffle shaped cone filled with ice cream with a selection of toppings (chocolate sauce, coconut, sprinkles and nuts, I think) but with a stick of cotton candy stuck in it, almost looking like a steam cloud out of a volcano.

Last time I ate there was two years ago. We enjoyed the sticky wings also - highly recommend them. For my entree I had a coconut chicken (which was ok) but it came with the most fabulous strawberry salad. I really loved it.

Enjoy
Diane

We've been there for lunch and dinner. My favorite thing there is the potsticker appetizer, my kid's favorite is the sticky wings. The mahi mahi and the teriyaki steak are very good. My daughter always get the kilauea torte for dessert and my son the kona kone.

Last time we were there I had had the dessert chocolate fondue and it was really good. I'm allergic to bananas and the chef came out to talk to me about what he would replace the bananas with in the dessert, they were very nice. I just don't think you can go wrong at Kona Cafe!:goodvibes
