OK... years ago we ate at the Sci-Fi restaurant and it was memorable (salad with shrimp), and I don't mean in a good way.

But...we are bravely giving it another try because the kids are 8 and 11 and we think that they will like the atmosphere.

So...what is the best entree on the menu? We will be there for supper.

Our stomachs thank you.

I agree, dinner there is very lackluster.
Others have posted they have been able to order lunch items for dinner. If I ate dinner there again, that is what I would go for. Although I would avoid dinner there.

We stick with the burgers and fries or onion rings and milkshakes. That's all. We usually do lunch but I know you can get burgers at dinner even through they are not on the menu.

Agree with the PP, stick with the burger, onion rings and shakes. I did NOT like the ribs. I took maybe 2 bites and I'm not that picky of an eater and I asked for it to be sent back they were so bad. I got the burger instead and it was pretty good. DD12 got the BLT soup which wasn't too bad either, but she did not like her shrimp penne pasta at all either.

we always get burgers, fries, rings and shakes - never had a problem when sticking with the "classics" - they also have a good spinach dip, and the apple crumb dessert thing is pretty decent, too

Sorry but they have changed there menu. We would only we eat here years ago but it's different now. We won't go back. So ck the menu make sure you find stuff that you like. I eat steak and it was horrible. So I wish you luck . I just don't want to see u have a bad time or waste money. Just my opinion.

Ahhh anither victim of the shrimp... glad I'm not the only one.:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:
I'd stick with a burger too but skip the onion rings they are just plain grease!!!! Any way good luck!!!:goodvibes

I was there for lunch a week ago, and really enjoyed the steak and blue cheese salad. Not a super healthy salad, I'm sure, but it was really good. :)

Stick with the burgers, onion rings and shakes. Pay out of pocket, don't waste a dining credit at Sci Fi.

Wow,
This creeps me out. We have eaten there twice for lunch-- once in 2001 and just 3 months ago in April, 2008.
I had a chicken sandwich I think-- no one has ever been sick from their food in my family. I also had a cucumber salad.
I loved the cheesecake dessert that came sprinkled with caramel corn and m n m's.

Has the food been spoiled--or people just don't care for it??

I have never gotten sick from eating there. The dinner food we have had (and we have given it multiple tries) is at best medicore. Much better off eating elsewhere for a dinner.
Years ago DH did have a shake and loved it. (Although he never ordered another. :confused3 )
We always used the DDE when eating here. But really it is a last resort sit down and pretty much avoid it. We just go to Boardwalk for a non-ADR meal on a Studios day.

We usually go ever trip. Always lunch and always the Rueben.

Have fun.

LOL, us too. I always get the Rueben and have never had a problem. We go every trip and no one has ever gotten sick...we like their food.

We eat here every trip at least once. I like the burgers and the last time we ate here I had the Pasta and it was good too. The desserts are wonderful. We really love the atmosphere of this place and I suppose if we did not like the food we would go for a dessert and enjoy the experience. We do like the lunch menu more than the dinner menu though.

Whether it is dinner or lunch, we go for the Ruebens and burgers, with an adult shake to chase them down. First time there I had the ribs for dinner, and they were horrible. Their desserts are good though, and the kids will love the atmoshpere.

Enjoy!!
