What to eat at Chefs de France

We were there in Sept. and absolutely loved it! We did take our 3 children
(7,4,2) We went early due to the children being with us (hoping couples would choose a later time) Our waiter was friendly, but rather rushed us. Until he realized that the kids were well behaved and the baby had fallen asleep. We were seated at a long booth at one side of the table and chairs at the other side and were rather closely seated to the 40something couple next to us. They were very friendly, and carried on a long conversation with DH and myself about our trip. Spoke with the children about disney and transformers! Very enjoyable. Anyway DH had escargot (he loved, I did not), the lamb shanks (had bones) and crepes for dessert (very good) I had the Lobster Bisque (DD and I both loved this soup) I had the Frenched pork chop (there is a bone but very easy to cut it off - they might do this for you before cooking) but the side that came with this was not the sweet potatoes that is listed on the online menus. It was like a penne paste (best and most tender chop - I have ever had) and then I ordered the "puff pastery" for dessert at our waiter's suggestion. Very good - Lots of food - I shared a lot of my meal with the children!!

I thought that this was one of our best meals while at Disney - and we did do Kona Cafe - and Narcossee's.

Hope you have a wonderful time!

We were just there last week. They had new things on their menu from what I've seen posted on the net. For appetizers, the onion soup is outstanding!

I had the fried calamari and ratatouille - it was good enough to be the meal in itself.

For the main course, DH had the steak - it was good but the scalloped potatoes were very rich, but yummy.

I had the lamb shanks on navy beans - stay away from that since it is all on the bone! It was good, but not what I was in the mood for. I ate the meat and left the rest. We also each had a glass of the wine reommended for each dish.

For dessert, DH had the fruit thing (sorry - I can't remember offhand the name), and it was good.

I had the banana chocolate tart - yummy!

It was a wonderful experience - friendly servers and great atmosphere.
