Hello, I have a question for all you experienced disney vets like me.. but I need your help. We are a family who goes often, and always goes in off season, Feb..(just got back), Oct, Dec, Jan,. so on. Swore we would never go in the summer, do to heat and crowds. Heres the kicker, we decided what the heck we will try it and go for my sons 7th bday, June 2nd. Try to beat some of the heat and the summer crowds, then I had a brain fart, and we talked and said why dont we get there on May 28th, and stay until June 9th, wow 2 weeks, sounds good to me.. So i called and booked it.. But then I seen and figured out, that first weekend is Memorial weekend, oh my, must be packed.. The good thing is we would have 2 weeks so we dont have to rush everything into mem. weekend,, also we are doing Seaworld and busch gardens too, so we could do that during that weekend, then hit the disney parks starting that tues after mem. day, but will the crowds be gone, I dont know what to do. Help.. I just dont want to get there and it be terrible and me and the ole man and kids regret we went.. help............

The parks won't be that bad on Memorial day weekend. Just do not go to the MK. That one is always the worst. Epcot & AK are good for then. I ususally go that time frame, as well as many many of us FL residents who have the seasonal pass. Seems when ever I am there, always end up talking to fellow residents while waiting online. This year I am not going to be there on that weekend. My husband can't get off of work. Our trip will start on the 30th & run until June 11th (the day the blackout starts for our pass). Maybe we will run into each other??? I will be at Pop Centry from 5/30-6/5 then switch over to PO-R from 6/5-6/11. I was going to stay at PO-R the entire trip but would have to have made 2 ressies anyway. Disney will not book any longer than 10 days with a discount, must slip the ressie up, since we had to split, I figured I would save money & do Pop for part of the time....we will not be in the room that much so I really don't care. :flower:
by the way, did you get the FL Resident or AP discount???

Hi, I guess we will try it,, why not.. and hope for the best.. We are staying at the campground, and I got the florida discount for the 3rd-9th, but the 29-3rd, I did not, said it was not available, but I will keep calling and trying on that one,, hopefully can get it by the time we leave..Thanks again :cool1:
