Ahhh. I see. I was looking at the other point and missed this one completely. :thumbsup2 I didnt even know one could do that. I did the DDP last year. Its flawless in my opinion. Why does everyone have to try to get more out of it?

I hear you on that!! Especially when we have been lucky enough to get it for free!! pirate:

There is such an obscene amount of food, we COULD easily share, but I also could NEVER find the additional time needed for even 1 'extra' TS meal anyways!! :confused3

The fact is the OP also had a 9 year old on the plan. Out of the 5 "child" credits credited to the 3 year old two went for the Lua and at least one went to buy a TS meal for the 9 year old (also a child). Assume one of the extra credits from the 3 year old was the second credit used by the 9 year old at the Lua and you might be looking at a one or possibly two "child" credits being used for an adult meal(s). None of the credits were used to treat guests not on the plan. The OP wasn't paying cash for meals in order to "bank" credits.

Disney has to either seperate the credits or accept the fact that guests won't be keeping track.

This weekend will be our first time on the DDP, and I am feeling like we will never have the TIME to eat all the food... it will get eaten though, DH and my boys are big eaters!

Some nights he slept through dinner or we shared with him so we ended up with an entire extra night of meals for me, DH and DD9. We used 2 each for the Spirit of Aloha dinner show so we actually had one night we should have paid for dinner but his extras paid for it. !

'Lewisc'

Whichever way you look at it the OP has stated that the 3yr. old 'EITHER SLEPT THROUGH DINNER OR WE SHARED WITH HIM" freeing up all 5 child credits that WERE used for 2 ADULT dinners at the Spirit of Aloha dinner show... "had 1 night we SHOULD have PAID for dinner but HIS (child!!) credits paid for it"....THAT is WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This thread started out pretty innocent.

The yelling in your post(whether you intended it to be or not, it sure looks that way) is ridiculous. Why do some people get SO WORKED UP over little crap?? The Disney Co. AIN'T stupid(yes, I said that on purpose). I think the powers that be know what could go on...they'll either fix it or they won't.
Posters like this and threads where people are judged on how they use their refillable mugs or DP credits are the worst thing about DIS. No, I don't misuse my mug, and I have yet to misuse my DP credits...but this is petty crap. I'll take a troll any day over some of the insane stuff people get angry about.... :sad2: :confused3

WOW!!!!(meant THAT too!!!)...you're accusing me of being "RIDICULOUS"??(Notice I am simply capitalizing certain words contained within quotations, words I am trying to STRESS...NOT to "YELL" - people should not be so quick to jump to conclusions...perhaps in future you could try ASKING? :confused3 )

I personally could care less what ANYBODY does with their DP, re-fillable mugs and other trivial matters!! This has no effect on me. Just simply clarifying things as, I'm sure you noticed while perusing this thread, that some people are CONFUSED about how the DP works, what we're trying to tell them about, etc. I do recall at least 3 posts where people were unsure about all sorts of things!

There is NO NEED TO BE OBNOXIOUS!!!! THAT is one of the worst things about the DIS!!!

FYI
Childrens credits are not supposed to be used for adult meals.
There are a lot of people reading these threads who do not know the rules and we need to give them the correct info.

I agree.
The child's credits were used to pay for adult meals.
The FAQ page of the DDP states that Child's credits cannot be used to pay for adult meals.

I agree; we need to give people the correct info.

The correct info is that Disney has removed this 5th page, the FAQ page, from their online Dining Plan brochure. So posting a cut and paste or an old download of the now-gone page means very little. I don't know why some people keep insisting that the info on this page is Disney gospel when the page has been removed by Disney.

Computer glitch? Maybe. Change in policy? Who knows? Nobody but Disney. So please stop preaching as fact what isn't.

Sorry, I was completely unaware the page is no longer posted.
I cannot find it either. :confused3
I edited my previous post.
Thanks so much for the update.
I did not want to misinform anyone.

Thanks again!

Hmmm.. interesting. I would think that if it is a mistake in updating the web site, old PDF put in place instead of new one, that they would catch it soon. It will be interesting to see what is up there in a week or so.

Just a FYI but on discussion boards and in e-mail typing words in all caps is generally considered shouting. I know that you didn't mean to come across that way but that is the way most people will perceive it. It is the generally accepted interpretation of all caps. For emphasis you can put your text in italics or bold to achieve the result I think you were trying to accomplish.

I don't get it?? I also am not intending to start another bashing session when I pose this question to you...it's simply a question... :grouphug:

Am I to understand that, just because this part is no longer on the FAQ's of the DP info. page, that that you would consider the statement that "child meal credits cannot be used to purchase adult meals" as some of us "preaching" a fact that isn't actually true??? :confused3

Maybe it is no longer on the DP FAQ page simply because that question, to most people with a scintilla of a brain, would be regarded as ridiculous?? I mean is it not just as silly to inquire if we can purchase a child admission pass to enter the theme parks as adults?????

Thank you. I really did not know that :confused3 and I will refrain from doing so in the future. :thumbsup2

That is exactly how I would have appreciated being approached on this subject earlier today. :)

(1st time trying this...is this how it's supposed to be? Not sure?? 1st bold text or 2nd?? I think it's supposed to be like the 2nd :confused3 )
