What to do with your backpack?

As a first timer going to DL in May, just wondering what do you do with your backpack when you go on the ride?

I put mine by my feet. If it's a fast coaster, then i put it at my feet but put my foot on one of the straps or keep one strap over my wrist so it doesn't fall out.

Otherwise, if its got stuff in there you'll need later in the day & not needed all the time.....we put it in the lockers just outside the entrance gates. You can go back & forth to the lockers to get stuff when needed but don't have to carry everything with you.

If its just a regular sized backpack you plan to carry throughout the day you wont have issues. Most rides have a bag pockets on the back of each seat (Meaning the back of the seat infront of you is your pocket). If like the last poster mentioned is a roller coaster, you can put your foot through the straps and put the bag behind your legs so nothing falls out.

Also again as the last poster mentioned, there are lockers inside the entrance of each park that you can store your items in if you have too much to carry.

But there are so many rides like the Haunted Mansion, or Toy's Story, where your just in a moving car and your bag can be left by your feet or can sit beside you on the bench and it wont go anywhere.

We take it on the rides with us. It either goes on the floor between one of our legs or we put it on the seat next to us if there is room, depending on the ride vehicle. Never been a problem. The only ride we don't bring it on is Grizzly River Run. There are lockers available there.

In case you didn't know, there are lockers inside the park as well. It makes your stuff more accessible. The lockers are about halfway down mainstreet on the right side off a little walkway. It's nice to have the convenience of storing snacks/sweatshirts, etc.

If you do bring it on Grizzley River Run. You can always go and get a plastic bag to put your backpack in. Ive done this. Works like a charm.

Or wrap your backpack in a disposable cheapie dollar store rain poncho when going on GRR. Worked like a charm when we on this ride and while the rest of us got soaked, the backpack stayed dry.
