What to do with one child when riding with another ... no other adult in party!

I am having a problem with this too, but my problem is that my youngest (4) CAN'T ride because he'll be too short for Rock N Rollercoaster. However, my oldest won't WANT to ride while my middle son will. I am considering riding with my middle son while my oldest and youngest go through the chicken exit and wait for me there. My oldest is 8 going on 18 and is very protective of his younger brothers, often buckling their seatbelts, holding their hands in stores, etc. I have entrusted my 8 year old to watch his youngest brother for 15 minutes at a time before, so I feel like this situation would be similar. I know you don't have that option though. Maybe the DCP participant would be a good idea.

If your youngest is too short to ride they won't be admitted into the queue. Your eldest and youngest would have to wait outside the ride.

Im in the same boat but my kids are older - 9 & 13. DD9 wont go on the "big" rides (coasters, mountains, ToT) and ODS13 LOVES them. After thinking it over (and posting here, lol), I decided its not fair for DS to have to go on ALL his favorite rides alone. A couple of them (probly just Splash, ToT and 7DMT), ill go with him. DD will come thru the line with us, then use the chixken exit to wait for us. I was unsure at first b/c I normally dont let my kids out of mfy sight, but I decided she's old enough. Plus, its her choice to not ride. She can choose to ride if she doesnt want to wait by herself.
But in your case, I wouldnt leave the 6 y.o. Probably not 7 or 8 either.......in my mind, I felt like 9 was the magic number for some reason, lol.

Depending upon how mature your son is, he might be able to wait in line himself. I would only do this as long as the wait wasn't too long. We did do this only once for mission space- my 9 yo wanted to try the more intense side and the rest of us didn't. I was a little nervous mostly worried that he was going to get sick on the ride. We waited at the exit and he did just great, but again it really depends on his maturity level. Had it been his twin brother I would have been more hesitant to allow him.
