What to do with a car seat?

My sister is meeting us at MK, and we are trying to do rope drop. They are staying off site, and were going to take the hotel shuttle, but we are worried that they might not make it early enough. She is considering taking a cab, but then would be stuck with a car seat at the park. Any ideas on what she could do with the car seat??

How are they getting to the off-site hotel? Will they have their own car, because that would be the easiest. I don't think a car seat would fit in a locker.

They were going to take a cab from airport to the hotel.

She can request a cab with a car seat, it may take a bit longer however so she would want to allow for that.

It's been a hotly debated topic, but my interpretation of Florida law is that you aren't required to use a carseat in a taxi.

Maybe not a requirement but I would not let my grandsons ride in a car without appropriate car restraints regardless of Florida law. Any chance they could rent a car for a few days?

There is nowhere to store a carseat in the parks, the lockers are not big enough.

By car seat do you mean a 5 point harness, a high back booster, or a backless booster? A backless booster might fit in a locker and I'm pretty sure a bubble bum would also fit- or would fit in the basket of a good sized stroller.

Lockers aren't big enough for boosters and no other choice. Where are you staying? Can they go there instead and stash it in your room? What are they doing with their luggage?

Really, the only choices are
1) go to their hotel then to the park (is the hotel shuttle going to work with the car seat? My experience is seat belts are not often available or working on shuttle vans, and there are no anchor latches.)
2) take the taxi without car seat (aren't they are going to be on buses without car seats all week?)
3) Wait for a taxi with car seat included
4) Rent a car

Get a Ride Safer Travel Vest. It's what we use when we travel with our kids. It passes the exact same testing as any 5-point harness on the market.

Another option is to take a cab to the contemporary, store the car seat with bell services (with a nice tip!) and walk over to the MK.

Thanks everyone. She just ended up switching over to the pop century.
