This will be our first time staying on property the whole time. It will be me (6 months pregnant), DH, DS6 and DS4. We wanted to squeeze a trip in before the baby comes and we are trying to make it a leisurely, laid back trip. (We'll see if it actually happens) What special things should we do while we are relaxing at the resort?

Just don't get locked out of your room like I did when I was about 4.5 mos pregnant! We put our room key too close to our credit cards or something because after going to the nearby pool, we went back to our room, dripping wet (and of course having to go #1, being pregnant), and voila! No access to our room! It took a long time to get somebody to come our and let us in!

Well, now I look back and I can laugh and I do think fondly of those memories!

At any rate, enjoy yourself, take a dip in the pool (don't get locked out), go for walks, sit on your balcony - the balconies are HUMUNGOUS! You may be able to watch golfers or have a nice water view. I would bring a few good books and really relax (if that's at all possible with your other DC in tow)! The main check-in area is a place to visit if you want to get out. There is a small shop and you can dine at Olivia's. We did this one evening, then took the boat over to DTD. It was very nice and relaxing. I enjoyed the boat ride.

Good luck and congratulations!

Okay...call me sick, but I enjoyed walks when I was pregnant. If you do as well, you can hit a trail behind the South Point stop and walk over to SSR and even to DTD. It's a beautiful walk. Also, the quiet pool by SP was really nice and NOTHING beats OKW's balconies. Take a great book and enjoy the mornings. :thumbsup2

You'll have a wonderful time there and it's a great resort to just relax. Have a wonderful time and best wishes for your family and your new little bundle of joy! Our son is 11 and has been several times and DD had just turned 1 when we took her the first time! It's never too early to break them in!!! :lmao:

Pack some snacks and rent a boat at the marina. We had a great time cruising through the quiet canals between OKW and POR and even around DTD.

Be sure to take the boat ride to DTD. We always visit the Lego store, Earl of Sandwich, and Ghiradelli's for ice cream.

Check out the schedule at OKW Community Hall for kid activites. Also the playground, ping pong, shuffle board or borrow a movie.

Enjoy the huge balcony- every morning we were visited by 5-8 ducks as soon as we opened our door.
