What to do when arriving early?

I'm still trying to make a desision on airfare for our 3-22 Magic cruise. Just watching prices and hoping the perfect time will come down to a good price. It's like playing the old let's make a Deal! Do I take airfare #1 or wait a day and pick the airfare behind door #2!:p I'm not going to be obsessive about getting the cheapest price as anything beats what Disney wants! One flight on Frontier is a red-eye arriving at 5:15am. The good thing is that there is a stop but not a plane change, wouldn't we be able to stay on? That would be a better night sleep with no worries about missing a connection. But what would we do until 10 when we could go to the port? I have heard about some hotels having day rooms we could hang out and doze for a few hours that way. Does anyone have other suggestions? I'm really hoping to grab a afternoon flight and arrive at midnight and try to get a decent sleep, but who knows if I will ever make a desision:confused:

Could you possibly go the day before and then take a room at the Hyatt or a nearby hotel? I worry that if you take the red-eye, you will be a tired mess when the cruise gets into full swing. (And remember, you can get to the port at 10ish, but you cannot board until noon at the earliest.) As for whether they will make you get off the direct flight, the answer is probably yes unless the turn-around is super fast. We had to de-plane in CLT on our way home even though it would be the same plane for the second leg.

We did not come in from nearly so far as you will be, but we took the latest flight out on the Friday night, arriving at MCO around 11 and then stayed at the Hyatt. We were on the T-giving cruise so all the schedules were messed up, but frankly, our original plan (which was barely altered, really) was to sleep in, use the pool & exercise facilities, and take a later bus to the port since we did not care to wait in line there. We had actually arranged a car rental thru Thrifty for $15/day just in case we needed to do any last minute shopping. It was one that would just cancel out if we didn't pick it up.

Just my thoughts. Good luck.

Just a thought.
