What to do...ressies

So, I have passed ROFR on a new Contract(150 points), with 150 for 2016 - August UY. (0 points 2015).

The closing can not occur until 5/23, so my guess is I will not have access to the points until about the end of June (is this correct?)

DGF and I are planning a trip 12/7-12/11. I have no current points available in my other contract, and do not want to borrow.

Would like to try a one bedroom if possible, am open to all resorts. Do people think there will be any availability toward the end of June?

basically my options are:
1. Rent points, and probably go with a studio.
2. Hope there is something available when I get my new points, and if not, just book cash at a moderate, as we do really enjoy Port Orleans Riverside. Downside to this is a cash room there probably costs more than renting points for a studio at OWK, SS, etc

So, if I "gamble" with option 2 and 'lose' I end up paying some extra cash for a room, but am still happy with where I am staying etc.

You are looking at one of the busiest DVC weeks of the year to try and go with less than 8 months to book. That said, I have been the 2nd week of Dec every year since '93. We book our HR at 11 months out then have changed out to other resorts over 95% of the time. Using the WL (one night at a time) and stalking the website you might be able to put together a reservation at SSR, OKW, or AKL.
