What to do on Prez Day?

After enjoying a wonderful crowd-free first WDW visit last year at the end of January, I decided that I could not afford to take the kids out of school again this year, so we are going during their vacation which is Prez week, Feb 19-27.

I am prepared for crowds, planning to get to the parks before opening (we are staying off-site so EMH is not an option), armed with with the Unofficial Guide and already have my PSs! However, I am wondering what to do on Prez. Day itself. I was thinking of Blizzard Beach if the weather is good - is that a good idea or absurd? Does anyone have any experience or suggestions?

Okay, Floridia schools are closed that WHOLE week, experienced this last year, my DF found it worse than Easter, which is VERY bad.

Well, perhaps not all of them. For example, Orange County schools are only closed on Monday:

Most of FL has school Presidents week.

Dont be discouraged. Maybe try Tour Guide Mike (which I have never done, but lots of people seem to like) for a busy week schedule and give it a whirl. The one thing that I feel is important when it is busy is having the ability to park hop, so you might want to consider that when buying your tickets. If one park is slammed, others might not be so bad and sometimes the down time while moving from park to park is refreshing as well.

We were there President's day last year and it was busy busy. Just take extra patience, use the fast pass system, get to the parks early like you mentioned and I bet you will be fantastic!!!
