California adventure, closes at 8pm when we are there, but DL is open until 9pm. We were thinking of going over to DL from 8-9pm. Are there any areas that get less busy during that time to sneak in some rides? Thanks!

During this time there will likely be parade/fireworks going on - during that time you may have some congestion moving from one park to the other and along the walk ways in DL but traffic is always kept moving even during parades and fireworks.

I'd check ride times prior to your trip for that time of day to see where you might get the best rides.

Agree with Sherilane, you might want to move over earlier to get past some of the large crowds along MS and the hub. If you get in before fireworks, take the train to NOS or Tomorrowland and hit some rides, lines should start mellowing out. I like to stay in the backs of the park until security starts making their sweeps, you can do some late shopping on MS if so inclined.

During the last hour of operation we like to just take the park in. We may enjoy a ride or two but it's so nice just to roam around the park and enjoy the park in the soft lighting of DLR at night. Then we'll get some coffee and a light snack and sit at either Jolly Holiday or Gibson girl and let the masses leave while we just revel in the atmosphere of Main St.
Gawd I miss DL!

We usually leave dca about an hour or two before it closes and head to dl to avoid leaving with everyone and not getting stuck with the parade and fireworks.

The train will not be running until the end of 2020 - now I know that is just what they have on their site to likely stop people from asking but it's gonna be awhile before hopping on it at MS Station is an option.

We use to hop the train too. I think you'll be more okay in Tomorrowland than any other land. As long as you are in line by 8:59 you'll be able to ride. I'd maybe do Buzz depending on your time and then Space or just Space.
