We will be on the Fantasy Western Caribbean in August. I know what I want to do in Cozumel (dolphins) and Grand Cayman (turtles). What have you enjoyed (or are looking forward to) in Jamaica? I have a 7 year old boy and 5 year old girl. Thanks!!!

There's a lot to do in jamica. Jamica poor place but really good excursions.

I am interested as well, we are headed there in October and we have 2 kids 7 & 10. We would love to find something that's enjoyable for our entire family.

I have read many reports on the Blue Hole. Many waterfalls varying in height that you can jump off of and a rope swing. The pics I have seen are very beautiful. Many hire a private driver and have them take them over. The one I am looking at is Courtney Taylor. This is what we are leaning toward doing when we go.

I've looked at the Blue Hole as well. It looks beautiful, but I worry about the ability of the 5 yo and 7 yo to handle it. Has anyone had experience with this? Also, do you worry at all about making it back to the ship on time? Thanks!!!

I've seen some videos with younger ones doing it, they were wearing life jackets. And only jumping from the smaller falls. I guess it would depend on how adventurous they are. From what I have researched you could spend anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours at the falls and this is the only activity we are planning on doing so I think we will have plenty of time to get back.

We enjoy Mystic Mountain. 40 - 60 minute drive from Falmouth. You can buy more bobsled tickets at top.
Must take the ski lift to top though. It's near Dunn River Falls too. Both can be done.

Thanks for posting this. When we did this back in 2014, my daughter's iPhone jumped out of the sled about 20 seconds into the ride and I spend the rest of the ride trying to calm her down from the hysterical crying attack she had. It was nice to see what the ride looked like looking forward! Luckily, management sent somebody down to the bottom of the forest floor and they retrieved it, they spotted the bright red Minnie Mouse cover she had on it.

We cruised in June 2015 with 7 and 8 year old girls. The 7 year old wouldn't do any of the jumps but really enjoyed the day there. The guides we had actually picked up the kids and walked them across any tricky areas around the falls.

We used SNL Jamaican Tours. The owner Lindsay McFarland used to work on the Disney Magic in the late 90's. On the drive to and from Blue Hole he was telling us so many history facts about Jamaica and would stop and show us different native plants on the side of the road. He kept telling us just to let him know if we wanted him to stop talking but we just kept asking questions and he had so much information to give!

We also found out once we arrived to Blue Hole that SNL Jamaican Tours brings you to an area that isn't used by Courtney Taylor Tours. We were in this huge area by ourselves for more than 30 minutes! Once we walked to the area used by CTT and the other tour companies it was much more crowded (probably 200 or so people there).

we have spent the day at hilton rose hall. its all inclusive and they have a great water area with slides and a lazy river. i like to book a day room there so we have some place to leave our things, change, nap if needed, shower. for us its a nice day.

We went back in August 2014, kids were 11 and 13 and LOVED Irie Blue Hole... we went with Liberty Tours, just google them, and couldn't have been more pleased. They picked us up at the port, had a private driver/car who was super nice. We added horseback riding, including riding in the ocean. Blue Hole was amazing. The local guides will help anyone who needs it, along with take pictures for you. I dropped my sunglasses in the water and they found them in about 30 seconds, that's how clear the water is. On the way back, we stopped for local candy and drinks, and got postcards. Our driver then took us to the post office to mail them before we left. All in all, it was the best excursion we have done. Funny side note- on the way to Blue Hole, we saw an old man selling "special brownies" had to explain that to the kids and why they couldn't have any....

Hi, Could you tell me where you booked the day pass thru?

I booked it myself through their web site. you put in the day your arriving and the same day as your departure date and day rates will come up. we got really good rates. they started on the high side but I checked the web site every few days and got it for $128.70 (I just checked my receipt) for a partial ocean view room by the time we traveled.
here is the link. I put in a pretend date in November just to show how it works. you can change the date to what you want and for the numbers in your party. the rates look high but as I said, I started high and ended low just by reshopping.
good luck!

I have been corresponding with several private tours for an upcoming trip because i want to do exactly this - blue hole and horseback in the water but have been told it can't be combined. . . . did your tour stop for lunch also? i have emailed liberty tours now but wonder why the others can't do it.

We plan to do the Tranopy Adventure which is zip lining and the bobsled ride. I can't say how good it is as we haven't done it yet, but it looks like fun.
