What to do if you can't go but registered?

I registered for the Princess half and now that DHs work schedule has me not going... what do I do with my spot and/or registration stuff?? I've email the director with no response. I know there is no refund.. and that's ok, I signed up knowing this might be a total possibility but didn't want to lose a spot if I could by chance go.

If at worst case and you can't move registration to another year and you cant go, someone can pick up your packet and mail it to you so you can at worst get that.

Sorry you are unable to attend the princess half. I think you just lose the registration fee. Be sure to cancel your hotel so you are not penalized for that too. Do you know anyone going who could pick up your shirt and goody bag?

No. I don't know anyone.
I hadn't made a hotel reservation b/c I knew it would be a last minute decision.

They were doing for marathon weekend this year that if you contacted them that you couldn't go, they would let you defer to next year for a fee of like $30-40. I believe that is how it was, I don't remember exactly, as I never had to use this service. Maybe someone from here could pick up your packet, I'm not running the race, I'm only going to the expo to sign up for Everest, but there will be lots of other people going too.

You can't transfer registration, unfortunately. I believe the deferment period just ended.

Did you contact the e-mail address listed on the website for deferrals?

If you post in the main thread, there's a ton of people in there going who might be willing to pick it up for you.

If you tried contacting before the deferral period ended, especially if it was an email contact and you have a paper trail, I would push the deferral a little harder with them. I'm sure there is a lot going on with the tinkerbell 1/2 in DL coming up, but it's worth a try.

I'm sure you can find a friendly WISH member to pick up your stuff! Post in the Princess threads.

You'll need to print and fill out the waiver form, and make a photo copy of your drivers license. Mail said papers to your friendly WISH member, and then they can pick up your $100 Race Shirt. I had to do this for the Everest Challenge last year. (knee surgery)

Can you just go solo? I'm not going to lie, that is what I'd do but I don't mind traveling without my girlfriend or whomever I'm dating at the time.
