I know that no-one will actually be able to answer that question, but I just cannot make my mind up :lmao:

I want to go in October and current offer is ok as it includes transport- but will absolutely kick myself if a better deal comes along after this one.

I've priced on dlp website with eurostar and without, and checked prices directly with eurostar - and overall comes out slightly cheaper booking all through dlp.

I booked really early last year on the 40%, so just wondered if anyone has any insider knowledge of any deals that may appear after 30 June?

I really need another ticker ;)

Realy want to book for january.I think the price Ive got is good but what if they do the 40% or the free food offer.I would be gutted I was thinking of booking the santa fe on cheyanne then if a better offer came along I could upgrade ??I no you car'nt do this with the free food offer but does anyone think they will put that offer on this year HELP need a DLP fix xx

Am I right in thinking that if I book now, and a better offer comes out, I can add extras like half board vouchers/character meal etc to make up the difference?

I seem to remember somethin about this before. Has anyone done this?

I have done this many times before so yes defo !but if they put the free food offer on am sure you have to rebook and lose your depoist and thats 35% at the min to much money to lose. What to do ?? I have a price for 6 nights Hotel NY 30th jan room with no view me 14yr 2 3 yrs olds 1086 What do you think xx

That sounds like a good deal for 6 nights. It's HNY i'm looking at again too.

I think I might go ahead and book this - I can think of loads of extras to add on if a better offer comes out.

Decisions, decisions :rotfl:

what I have done is booked a cheaper hotel an added things like bufflo bills etc on and also upgrded my hotel with no hassale at all x

I think so two dh wants me to wait but if I add half board on its the same price or round about as I paid two years ago when the did the meals for free,my ds1 love the NY X

With the discount on the travel, I think I'll be paying similar to last year, although we were at DLH. Looking forward to HNY again this time, we missed it last year.

I'll decide for sure next week ;)

Going to have a think over weekend two.Let me no what you do,would love to stay in the DLH just to say I have.Have a good weekend xx

I was considering whether to book a trip for February with the current offer, and if a better offer came out, then add-on extras. But, what's made me re-think, on the description of what offer you are booking with on the DLP site, it states- Please note: specific sales conditions apply to this offer. For further details, check our booking terms and conditions.

Now, with Disney changing the deposit to 35% when booking with offers, I wonder if they may change the loophole of adding on to bring the value back up :confused3 (hope this makes sense :))

I'll need to check that, thanks.

Plans changing quite rapidly now - after very lengthy discussion today kids seem to want to go in summer.....just checked prices for my hols in July and they are almost double what I was looking at for October :scared1:

We need to go 18 July if we're making it a summer trip - so will hang fire to see if there is maybe a flash sale after 30 June. If not then it will be back to October.

My head is hurting ;)

When the brochure for this summer came out last November, it also offered 15% discount for booking in July on top of the 30% discount that was offered across the board. Let's keep everything crossed that there will be a similar offer for July next year.

Thanks, but it's this July they want to go!!:scared1:

After our October trip last year they immediately said they wanted to go back this October. We were planning a trip to London in July and all happy with that, but then they started reminicing about our summers at Disney, late park opening, swimming pool at HNY and suggested we forget the October trip and go in July instead of going to London.

To be honest, the prices for two hotel rooms in London for 3 nights is not that far from Disney prices......I reckon the activites they want to do in London will be in excess of £100.00 each day, so not too much of a difference - it all hangs on a wee flash sale........

You're right about London, we have 5 day trip booked for August and it kind of goes:
4 tickets Ripleys £100
4 tickets Dungeons £100
4 tickets London Zoo £100
Using Ebay and my Tesco vouchers I have managed to get some entry tickets upfront, but now debating whether I want/can afford to spend another £150 - £200 to see Shrek the musical, with train fare and the hotel :scared1: this has turned into a very expensive trip.
Luckily, I've managed to get the free Houses of Parliament and Big Ben tours through my MP and we are also planning a day or 2 at the Science and Natural History Museums but have noted that both have special paid events, imax theatres etc, so guessing it's another £100 :headache:

We're the same. £220 train from Glasgow to London (that's with a rail card discount). 3 nights in a 'cheap' travelodge or premier inn approx £130 per night PER ROOM, we need 2, so £260 per night x 3 = £780 approx!!! Then we'll move to my uncles flat for 2 nights.

Day trip to legoland - £110 (discounted via corporate rate at my work)
Night at cinema - £150.00 approx
London Eye and river cruise - £92.00
Tube tickets £17 approx per day (using rail card discount)

That's all without eating or buying anything else.

We all loved London last year and will definitely go back - but comparing it to Disney it's not really all that much more.......please agree with me......someone......I'm really not trying to convince myself of anything :rolleyes1

Have a look on www.daysoutguide.co.uk.I have printed off loads of 2 4 1s you have to travel by train and show you train ticket, they have some for other places not just london. We going in august only for 3days

Sorry continuing totally off topic for a minute.
I've booked Bankside House through the London School of Economics, it's basic accomodation but can include breakfast. All their buildings are in central London locations and Bankside is where my sons' previous school stay on their annual year 6 trip. It's fab for us as we will only be using it for bed breakfast and shower.
Another that my boss mentioned to me the other day is the Royal College of Surgeons, they also let out their accomodation out of term time. :)

I know that DLP can initially look expensive, but I find it balances out, whilst we're in the parks we spend very little during the day and dining out in the evening is comparable with what we expect to pay wherever we are, UK or abroad. :)

ILOVEDLP - thankyou I'm hoping to get some restaurant deals from the daysoutguide, it's the next big expense I need to budget for and Ms Poppins has reminded me I need to sort out Oyster cards :thumbsup2

I agree, my trips to London always work out around the same as a DLP trip once you add everything up! My friends were amazed at the value of DLP this week - since I had booked it all, they didn't really realise everything was included. We had paid about £170 each for 2 nights at Sequoia Lodge and they thought that was fab for 2 nights B&B in such a nice hotel, 3 days in the parks and shows and things included too. Not something I'd ever considered but they thought we would have to pay for fastpasses, or for the Tarzan show, or Cinemagique. When you think about the all in entertainment value of DLP..... MUCH better investment than London :surfweb:

You're back! What are you doing wasting time answering my question when you could be writing your trip report :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Thank you for encouraging me.......I've been number crunching all day and am considering Sequioa Lodge over HNY - but in summer we absolutely must have air con.

Might need to test my nerves and see if a flash sale appears.
