Our flight doesn't leave Orlando until 4:45 on disembarkation day. Is it worth it to rent a car so that we can spend time at Cape Canaveral or does someone have other suggestions? We're a family of 3 with a 7-year old dd. TIA!

I'm sure someone that has done it will reply with more info - but some get a day room at the airport hotel - that way you can use the pool or just relax

This happened to us once - we rented a car, drove around to some of the resorts at WDW, went to DTD for some lunch and some brief shopping, then headed to the airport. We did a 4 day land/3 day sea vacation, and this was the perfect way to end it.

We rented a car and went to Downtown Disney for several hours. Our flight was also a late afternoon flight.

Last January we rented a car (we're going to regardless of the time we left, it was cheaper that way) and then went to Old Town on International Drive. It was fun and something that my friend had never done. Then we went to Chik-fil-a (yummm!) and Downtown Disney. Our flight was not until 6:30.
