we are arriving in Orlando on Monday and we are going to Disney on Tuesday. My question is what is fun in Orlando to do for a day w/out going to any type of Theme Park?:confused3

You should definitely just take the day/afternoon to go to Downtown Disney and walk around and eat up the atmosphere. We love strolling around and taking pictures. The kids play with the Legos at the Lego store and pose in front of the Lego statues. There is usually some entertainment going on and you can sit and relax and listen to it. We like to browse the shops and get a yummy treat at Goofy's Candy Company.

Ripley's Believe It Or Not Museum. One of the many Dinner theatres. The outlet malls. You don't give an age group so it's a tough call.

Water Parks-
Blizzard Beach
Typhoon Lagoon
Aquatica
Wet n Wild

Downtown Disney-
Lot's of shopping and eating opportunities
Legos store with the outside play area
Disney Quest (though some of the games/attractions might be a little too old for your children)

BoardWalk area-
Also shopping and eating opportunities
Hop the boat and ride between BoardWalk, Swan/Dolphin, Hollywood Studios and Epcot.
Rent a surrey bike and go around the area for 1/2 hour or so
Walk around in the Disney resort - Beach Club, BoardWalk, Yacht Club
Play in the arcades at the resorts there
Stop by Beaches and Cream for ice cream

Mini Golf-
Winter-Summerland
Fantasia
Pirates Cove
Congo River
Hawaiian Rumble
and a few others in the Orlando-Lake Buena Vista-Kissimmee area - you can usually find discount coupons in the books at hotels for the non-Disney mini golf places

Pool at your hotel?

The Central Florida Zoo is in Sanford a few miles north of the Orlando area

There are plenty of things to do, you'll just need to find the right thing(s) from all the possibilities for you and your daughters. Good luck and have fun.

The Orlando Science Museum is a great place to spend some time. We also like wandering around Winter Park and even making a trip to Bok Tower. My DH loves Fantasy of Flight and we all love Kennedy Space Center.

Other places to go I'd suggest are Pointe Orlando, Mall of Millennia, Gatorland and maybe one of the airboat rides. If you like golf then there's plenty of choice. What do you like doing?

If you like food, then try all the restaurants on Sand Lake Road. There's so much to see and do.

My boys love the Orlando science center. They also just like to swim in the hotel pool all day when they get the chance.
