What to do at 7 months - Online or Call?

Ok, so from what I grasp using the new online reservations, you can make a new reservation, but can't change one you already have. I am wondering if anyone has tried to change a reservation at the 7 month mark online?

Since it sounds as if you can book online at 8, but have to wait for MS to open at 9, if you are booking a new reservation, you will be at a potential advantage. I guess that advantage may be mitigated a bit, however, by the fact that those that want to change aren't able to release their current rooms til 9, so the inventory at 8 may be more limited.

In order to do that right now, you have to cancel the old and then book the new. If the room you want to book is gone by the time you go to book it, you could end up with nothing.

The only way you would not have to do that is if you have enough points in your account to have both reservations at the same time so you can book the new one and then cancel the old.

IMO, though, I would simply call. I do think that at some point, the system will be set up to allow the 7 month change, but am speculating they want to make sure the easy stuff works before the complicated!
