What to do after park closing/before dinner?

We have a rainforest cafe reservation go our arrival day at 6:00 pm, AK closes at 5. We were hoping we could just show up early and get in, though I doubt that! There will be a 1.5 year old with us... Any suggestions on what to do for that hour? Walk very slowly out of the park from the back corner, LOL?

That's what I would do. Just take your time walking through the park. They won't run you out for an hour or so after closing. Then go on over to Rainforest. They'll go ahead and put you down and take you in.

All the rides close at 5 but the park should still be "open." Disney wants you to continue to make those last minute purchases as you exit. I'd spend some time loitering in the Oasis and checking out the animals winding down/up for the night.

You may want to double check AKs closing time. I just noticed ours was pushed back to 7pm in November.

You will likely have no problem getting in early. They take very few reservations and have many walk up spots available...especially at park closing. Usually they have a sign out front at closing that immediate seating is available.

This works for most dining reservations, too. You can show up early!
