If our checkout time is 11:00am and our flight doesn't leave until 4:25pm, should we just go ahead and catch our DL express bus at 11:45am and spend our few hours at the airport? We will probably use that time to have lunch, so it will kill a little bit of time. We will have all of our luggage, so we don't want to be walking around DTD with it. Any suggestions?

You might check with the hotel you are staying at. At the Tropicana Inn, we were able to store our luggage in the office and they let us use the pool if we wanted to. We ended up walking to DTD for a couple hours and checked out the Disney hotels just to pass the time. You might call ahead or email your hotel and see if that is possible.

I'd store luggage with your hotel that way you are free to move around. We normally check out before we head to the parks in the morning. That way we don't have to leave the parks to checkout. Definitely do the downtown disney thing. Have lunch, windw shop, play games at Espn zone or watch a movie.

I'd definitely see if the hotel will store your baggage for a couple of hours and do something fun to say goodbye to Disneyland and the last moments of your vacation. Many of us here have complained of withdrawal symptoms on that last day. Tears and tantrums aren't the way most of us want to end our vacations to the happiest place on earth. BTW, its usually us, the adults, that have the tears and tantrums. LOL

you are staying at one of the on property hotels, they will store your luggage at Bell Services. You can access your bags should you forget something that you needed. That way you can walk around DTD and have lunch someplace local. There is really not much to do at the airport.

As the others have said, I would check your bags at the hotel. I have not see one yet that wouldnt hold them for you. We usually hit the parks for a few hours. If you dont have time left on your hopper you could see dtd, have a nice breakfast, etc. There is plenty to do!

We checked out of our room somewhat early at around 9 am (we stayed at the carousel inn) I asked about parking since we drove, they offered to hold our bags and allowed us to park free until 3pm, it ended up raining that day so we only stayed long enough to do 3-4 more rides then headed home, it was the first time it'd rained on our trip so it felt good to go home, of course I'm already missing Disney :rotfl2:

I'm sure the hotel would store your luggage. On our last trip, we drove, so that wasn't an issue for us. What we did was pack up the minivan, check out, then catch our reservation for breakfast at Goofy's Kitchen. It was nice to have a nice send off on the day we left. We were trying to get on the road, but it would have been really nice to walk around DTD for a bit. We didn't get to do a lot of that this last trip.

We always do a character breakfast on the last day then spend about 3 hours at World of Disney in DTD deciding what we can't live without. Lots of great photo backdrops in DTD to take advantage of as well.
