What to do after Bibbity Bobbity Boutique?

I am hoping to book my DD into Bibbity Bobbity Boutique whilst we are in Florida. I know the obvious thing to do afterwards is to go for a Princess Meal. However, I think we are going to be struggling to fit one in. Does anyone have any other suggestions as to what would be fun to do after the makeover? She will be (not quite) 3 years old (by a couple of weeks).

Also, we are going in June. Is it going to be a crazy idea for her to be all dolled up in that heat?

I really think she would love it though and since most of things we are planning seem more appealing to my DS we thought this would be a nice way to do something special for her.

Also, while we are here does anyone have any other sugestions on fun things for very young girls.

There are ways to minimise the effects of the heat. In the morning, dress her in shorts and a simple, easy to remove light top. Take the dress with you when you go to BBB and only change her into it just before you go in. Depending on the dress, you can slip it over her head and pull the other clothes out so you don't have to feel like you are "undressing her in public" if you know what I mean.

If she is a girly girl, she will love all the fuss and attention. You may find that at her age, this is quite enough excitement in one day. Also, they spray the hair so that it doesn't MOVE for days!!! So even if she doesn't keep the dress on for too long, she will still enjoy being made up and she'll get a sash which she can wear over her other clothes if you change her again so the CMs will still notice - and they do comment to the little girls. Not all of them dress up anyway and a lot has to do with practicality. You may even want to take a summery, comfortable cotton dress that she feels is pretty and let her wear that.

If you can squeeze in a character meal, you may consider Crystal Palace, which is really sweet for the younger kids (and some of us big ones) with Pooh and friends. I don't know exactly what your time constraints are like. How long are you going for?

ETA: Once she has been made up, you can take her to City Hall and the photopass folk will do loads of pictures of her if you are considering buying the PhotoPass CD.

Also forgot to say, BBB is one of those "ADR" type extras where you need to think about booking as far ahead as possible. You can book from 180 days out. I wouldn't chance it and leave it to the last minute. There is a credit card hold put down in case of no shows, so if you book and dont' think you will make it, be sure to cancel at least 24 hours ahead of time. I think it's a treat for any little girl.

I don't know much about children but I can't imagine those dresses are very comfortable in that sort of heat. Only you know what your daughter will be comfortable with. As for ideas for what to do afterwards, maybe a photoshoot in one of the more picturesque areas of WDW (e.g. the Poly beach etc.).

Parades are a good thing to watch when you have a dressed up child as the characters always head for children in costumes. Or just wander around as she'll get lots of comments from castmembers and visitors alike.

I love seeing children dressed up as they look so proud of themselves!

My DD LOVED it, the attention from the characters, CMs and other guests. I would try and get a princess meal, as she can cool down and you can chill, plus at the GF the back drops are lovely for some special pics. The photos are great fun, with the cinderella characters!

We did the photopass pics after the BBB and we queued to meet the princesses at Toon Town, again got so beautiful pictures!

Before going in to BBB, we picked up at Fastpass for Peter Pan, so the time was " ticking down" while we were at BBB!

I did the cheapest package... when my dd was 3, I painted her nails the night before and we took our own dress ( we find the USA ones itch a bit, plus they are quite pricey!!! IMHO )

You will enjoy the time in BBB too....its very special x

Definitely - we have seen some mums have it done with their daughters



It doesnt matter where you go as your daughter will get lots of attention which is lovely to see as the girls really think they have turned into princesses.

Oh, that is just too tempting. I have 3 daughters and have to force two of them to dress up Do you think a 40 year old woman (slightly overweight and slightly haggard) could pull off a Belle makeover? My kids would kill me.

They didnt go for an outfit, but why not

You know, I kind of agree, but the only time I have ever seen that girl sit still is when I stuck a mirror in front of her and pretended to put on makeup and did her hair. The rest of the time she is like lightning!!

Hmm, interesting! I might look like a weirdo though, considering I'm not a mum.

She will have a great time. When my dd4 had her makeover we went and got her photos taken at city hall and then we went and met all the princesses in toontown. They really took notice of her and the interaction was brill.
I had paid for the full package but DD wouldn't wear the outfit as it was too itchy. She just wore a nice vest and shorts and her pictures are still beautiful

aww, hope she enjoys it then. I would definitely take her to meet the princesses. They do get a lot of attention when dressed in costumes,even without the makeup and hair so if she likes that sort of thing it will be a lovely treat. My DD favourite costume was Alice as it is not itchy and it is not as commonly worn in the parks.
