We're going to an Easter get together and my cousin's house. There will be about 10 kids and 30 adults. We're doing finger foods, snacks and the such. No hot food, nothing that requires knife and fork.

DH wants to make his "white trash" (chex mixes & melted white chocolate, very yummy). I have no idea what else to bring. I need some ideas.

Some others are bringing; deviled eggs, finger sandwiches & pig in a blanket. Someone is making 2 cakes and a bunch of cupcakes.

For once, I'm lost as to what to bring. :confused3

Mac & cheese, chips and Salsa, veggies and dip?

My kids love those jello easter eggs jigglers. You can get the molds free in the grocery store when you buy so many packages of jello.

How about a cheese tray? I am using smoked gouda, swiss, and cheddar, and have many different assorted crackers to go with it. Get a big platter and put some red grapes with it. Yummy! Raw vegetables and dip is always good too.

Taco dip? It's my stand-by. I like the kind that mixes a pkg of taco seasoning with a pkg of cream cheese and 8 oz. of sour cream, top with lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, onion, or whatever other taco toppings you like, and bring tortilla chips.

fruit kabobs -- nothing like food on a stick :)

When my kids were little I always tried to take things kids would eat. I would take jello jigglers and grapes cut into small bunches. Never had left overs to take home.

I also like the fruit kabob idea.

Maybe you could pick up an Easter basket at the store and stick some styrofoam in the bottom and then stick the kabobs in there (cover the foam with Easter grass after you stick the kabobs in.)

Have fun. :sunny:

Fruit and this low fat easy fruit dip:

3/4 cup low fat sour cream
1/4 cup strawberry jam (can use low sugar is you want to cut calories)
1 1/2 teas. orange zest (very fine)

mix together, then fold in 1/2 small tub light coolwhip.

What about something in little tart shells? You could do some kind of meat tart or seafood.
