what time do they actually start boarding the ship at Port Canaveral?

Your PAT or Port Arrival Time dictates when you are allowed to arrive and which boarding time you are assigned.

They usually start boarding 11:15-11:30. In the order that pp said.

Yep, usually around 11:15 but sometimes can be delayed a bit and start at 11:30 ish. I know DCL booklet says 1:00 but in reality it is much earlier. I think they say 1:00 as a cushion in case the things get really delayed in the morning. Plus, it helps spread people out instead of arriving all at once. Many people who don't read this board don't know that boarding actually starts earlier than 1:00 pm.
