What time to leave resort for rope drop?

We are planning to get to MK for 8:00 rope drop this Sunday. What time should we get to the bus stop from the Boardwalk? Would 6:45 be enough time?

We usually plan about an hr so that should be good.

You should be good - I might allow a little bit of extra time if it is Easter week, since that is peak time and the number of people waiting with you for the bus may rise

How long would it take from animal kingdom lodge to MK next week? My mom is going so just want to give her a heads up on how long bus rides are. She's doing MK Thursday, HS Friday, AK Saturday and EP Sunday.

We were at AKL in January - the bus rides to most parks weren't terribly long - I think Epcot is the farthest.
In general if I am rope-dropping a park, I get to the bus stop at least an hour before - we aim for even 15 minutes before that, but it doesn't always work.
If I am just trying to get to a park, I allow about 30 minutes.
If I am trying to get to a park because I have an ADR - about 45 minutes.

It's unpredictable how long it will take before a bus comes at any hotel. AKL was fairly consistent - with the most unreliable in January being Epcot.

The ferry boat will be running.

The monorail schedule currently varies by day of the week.
When the monorail is not running that early, they will be running special buses to cover the route.
