We'll be driving from WDW and our paperwork says 1PM embarkation. What time should we plan to be there? I assume this means we can't get on the ship before 1PM? But do they start processing people before that?
The terminal will open earlier. Someone else might know for sure but I believe around 10:30. We started boarding around 11:40. So you will definitely want to be there earlier than 1.
The port usually opens between 10:00 and 10:30.. We always arrive for 10:30 and get right in, check in, and get in the boarding line. We are one of the first families to board...We make any ressies, and go to lunch, and then enjoy the quietest time at the pools..
We feel that we want to get as much out of the cruise as possible, and arriving early is a must for us... It is some of the most quietest time on the ship...
Just our side..
P.S. We have always boarded before 1:00... Last time was at 11:45...It all depends on how the turn around is going...
Yes, the lunch is ready, and fresh as anything... You eat early, and get out early...More room for supper...
No, unfortunately the only drawback is the rooms are only ready at 1:30, so we all wear our swimsuits under our clothing, and bring a SMALL carryon with us.. SOmetimes they actually let you bring it to your room, but lately that has not been widely reported...I do not bother, knowing the big job they have to do........HTH
