What time to arrive at Typhoon Lagoon?

We are planning on doing TL on one of our break days... but with Blizzard Beach not open I'm concerned about crowds. Do we need to arrive at opening? Also, if we don't arrive at opening how about a late arrival such as 1 or 2?

Thanks for any info :D

Last year we got there at 9:30 and there were crowds (this is back in Feb. and they opened at 10:00 and BB was closed) My DD got picked as the Big Kahuna - pretty cool - didn't even know about that until she got picked.

If you want a seat in the shade - get there early. If not, you should be ok later in the day but the slide lines will be long and you'll be lucky to find a chair. By getting there early, we rode on all the slides within a couple hours and then hung out at our seats, swam in the wave pool, etc.

I agree to get there early for best seat and location.

Is there a reason that Blizzard Beach is closed? When will it reopen? Thanks...we will be there in July and will mostly likely do Typhoon Lagoon since we did BB last time..

I agree with arriving early if possible. I'd point out that if you can't arrive early, 1 to 2 PM might be the worst time to arrive. I'd almost consider it not worth it if I couldn't arrive early, unless I was on a UPH or such. The best times are early, and then again late. We leave for a while when it gets overbearing, then come back around 4:30 or so. Everyone's hot and tired from a day in the sun and from running up the stairs to the rides. Makes for short lines.

When we were there (1st week of march) the hours were 10-5, so I think everyone decided to go early. BB was closed then too.

We got there around 9:45 and waited with a million other people until they let us into the park. There was a mad dash for seats, so try to figure out where you want to go ahead of time.

We left around 1 and didn't see many others on their way out. Everything was still packed! I don't know when/if the park emptied out. It certainly would NOT have been worth it to go just in the late afternoon with a 5 PM closing, but that may be different when you are there.

I'd say get there early, throw your stuff on some chairs & go do the slides while lines are short. They only got longer during the day.

Get there first thing in the morning!! :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc It is such a fun place, you don't want to waste any time!!! ;)
