What time should we leave the Contemporary to get our plane?

Hi there everyone, Happy New Year!
Just a quick question.....We are over from Australia in May and don't know that much about the magical express. My question is.....Our return flight home from MCO is 8am with UA (to san fran, then with Air New Zealand to auckland then to Melbourne, Australia) . What time should we get the magical express from the CR to the airport? I hate rushing so want to have enough time. I was thinking 5am? Does the magical express run this early though? Last time we flew United from Orlando we had to wait AGES in line, so should we maybe leave at 4am? TIA!

I'm almost certain you must take the shuttle at least 3 hours before your flight -- that's how they schedule it. So yes, 5 a-m would sound just about right.

What a flight! I get tired just thinking of flying to California, and that's only 3 time zones!

On the morning of the day before your flight, your DME bus pick-up info will be left in an envelope dangling from your doorknob. You don't get to pick your time. They won't let you convince them to pick you up later, but it's likely they'd let you "make them" pick you up earlier.

They typically schedule pick-ups for 2.75-to-3 hours prior to flight time. If your flight is considered an international flight, I believe they will schedule your pick-up for about 4 hours in advance.

DME is a round-the-clock operation. There's no flight to early or too late for them to handle. Actually, 8 a.m. departures are probably extremely common.
