What time should we get to Port Canaveral for our 7 day cruise

Looking for ideas on what time we should get to Port Canaveral for our 7-day Western cruise.

On our last 7-day cruise we arrived there around 11:30 and we were at the end of a very long line. I'd like to be one of the first ones to board.

I think that's when we got there and there was a long line but it moved very fast.I don't know how early you can get there-probably 10 or so.

We got there at 10:15 and got lucky. The person in front of us was turned away. We were allowed to sit there as the guard checked to see when (as he called) "Disney people" were coming out. They were walking out at that time so we lucked out. First in! Usually people on the boards have said around 10:30. You have plenty of time. After I parked and returned to the terminal with my family we had to wait until 11 to check in. Then we stood(sat) in line until 12:15 to board ship. The excitement is so high the wait did not seem bad at all and I am not a patience person. It is so much fun! We can't wait until next year. We usually try to arrive around 10:30, official opening time, check in and then wait unitl the line is about half way across the terminal before getting in it. We are both in our mid 50s and it is hard on the feet and hips to stand for very long periods. We still take turns holding our place and walking around. Once the doors open you will be on board in less than 15 minutes from this position.

We also arrived at 10:30. After we were checked in, one person stood in line with the luggage and the rest of us sat, watched tv and wondered around until it was closer to board.
