I'm just curious as to what time people are having their weddings--and why you chose that time, whether it was morning, afternoon, evening, or at night! :)

9am at SBP followed by Brunch

7pm ceremony, 8pm pre-reception, 9:30 reception

reason: DCA closed at 8 so our reception had to be after they closed and could set up.

I voted 5-8, but I suppose I should have done after 8...

We are having our ceremony at 7:30 for a couple of reasons:
1) We are having our reception in MGM and there is a required 1.5 hour wait time after the park closes. (Which close at 7)
2)We wanted our wedding to be more formal
3)The wedding pavilion and Grand Floridian are BEAUTIFUL in the evening!

I was entranced by the twilight pics of the WP on the FTW video...we would have had pics like that if we did our original plan of WP ceremony and MK reception! :)

We're still deciding on exact time, but probably somewhere around 1 - 3pm. Will be reading this thread with interest as it might help us decide on a time.
For anyone with knows what time is best for December at the pavilion with the Intimate cake / champage reception only at GF, especially for a good selection of photo's?

We did 3pm because 5pm in December, would have put us at sunset with darkness quickly falling. And I wanted to acutally get some pictures, without having to rush. It worked out well for us to then have dinner at 5:30.

ours is at 5pm in 6 weeks time. we chose 5pm cause i think it will be a little more romantic than during the day.

We chose 2pm, main reason being you dont have to worry about getting up at an unsightly hour but still have plenty of time to enjoy the day.

Our ceremony is at 10 am. Reception at Citrico's at 11 am and Illuminations Dessert Party at 8:30 pm. We choose 10 am because we wanted to get things going early in the day. Also, I wanted to avoid everything seeming so rushed between the reception and dessert party. Also, having a few hours between the reception and dessert party gives everyone enough time to relax and refresh, before the evenings activity. For those with kids, it gives them sometime to frolic in the parks or take a nap, especially my grandparents.

I have decided to tell my guests to come to the dessert party dressed comfortably (shorts, sandals, jeans, whatever), appropriate dress, of course. Plus, our vow renewal is on May 27th, it's really hot in Florida, during this time of year, not to mention humid, expecting everyone to come to an outdoors party, on a wam night with humidity in the air, just seems cruel :sunny: I have no intentions on wearing my wedding dress, in Epcot and I want everyone to feel like we are ending the day with a wonderfully, magical party party: party:

We are at 2pm was originally at 4pm but could not arrange the meal etc to work without having a big gap before the fireworks. So now we are having a longer gap so we can have a rest before our firework cruise- hope that makes sense

We're at 2:30 PM with the reception starting at about 4:00 PM, though I'm kinda wishing we were having it in the evening now, since dinner's going to be a bit early and I've seen some gorgeous pictures of Seabreeze Point at night. We originally chose 2:30 because my fiance is extremely hard to get out of bed in the morning and I figured if he got up around noon he might be able to make it to the ceremony on time. :rotfl:

Ours was at 3:00 pm. The options were 9:00 am, 11:00 am, 3:00 pm, or 5:00 pm for our location on our day. We are SO not morning people so 9 and 11 were out and I was afraid 5 was too close to dinner time, since it was WL Sunrise Terrace that means the dinner bell and all the screaming at Whispering Canyon Cafe starts at 5:00 right below us - no thank you :rotfl:

4 pm at the WP... I wanted something at dusk, and we are seeing each other before the ceremony, so we will still get some great daylight pics...

We are hoping for a 10am ceremony followed by 11-12 pre reception and 12-whenever reception.

Our FTW is going to be at 2:00pm at Sunset Pointe and dinner at Ohana's at 5:15pm. :cloud9:

Our wedding will be at 9am at Sunset Point as we're having the Magic Kingdom Photo Shoot done that morning, so we'll head over to the wedding right after the photos. We're then having brunch at 1900 Park Fare.
