Now do me a favor. No updates till Monday. ::yes::

I may do one on the PTR for December, but we will be busy all weekend so no updates on here until Monday. Don't you leave soon for your trip?

Yup... leaving the house by 6:15am on Wednesday morning. :hyper:

Juliana still doesn't know anything yet. I'm gonna try to video tape her when we wake her up. :scratchin

:cool1::cool1::cool1: that you've kept it a secret. Just don't wait 3 months to put the video up, okay. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Plan is to hold the video camera in one hand and my cell phone in the other. That way I can upload the cell video while we drive to the airport. Hopefully I can pull it off. :3dglasses

What a great MK day :) I've said it before, but you two are so cute! You can just see the love and joy on your faces and it makes me happy to see it.

Thank you, Krysten. You are very sweet. :)

The Plaza is so delicious, great pick for your last day tradition! And I agree with you about dessert - it is always huge and you are always full, but it is so delicious that you have to order something!

No point in making an ADR there if you aren't having ice cream.

You had me all teared up with your balloon story. I absolutely love that you decided to do this and it is great that the family you chose was so receptive to it. Lots of hugs!

Awww...thank you sweetie.

Sorry that spaceship earth was closed but glad Mark and Tigger could make you happy:) I'm sure that will be your first ride in Epcot next trip and you can tell your dad you are thinking of him

I am so sorry you had such a rough day. I do understand how it's the little disappointments that turns into complete life mishaps when you are missing someone dear to you. This is one of the reason why I HATE June. So glad that Tigger turned your day around. Just gotta love that striped T-I-doudle-grrr!

I am a long time lurker and you have had me in tears twice! I have an older fur baby who I worry every day about and I am so sorry about Cookie. Then you wrote about your father and that really did it. I have enjoyed your trip report so much and thank you for bringing joy to everyone who lives vicariously through you while waiting for their own Disney trip. You and your husband are so adorable together and I applaud you on 30 years! pixiedust:
Thanks for sharing!

sorry you weren't able to ride spaceship earth  Mark is such a sweet man to find the perfect thing to cheer you up! love all the PP photos!

However, before we could do that, I had the most important tradition of all to take care of.

I purchased a balloon and we found a young couple with a little girl in a stroller as we got near the exit. I excused myself and told them I wasn't there to harrass them (you never know how some people think about total strangers coming up to them) and proceeded to tell them my story.

It was the five year anniversary of losing my dad...this was a tough anniversary because we were actually in the park on THE anniversary date. I told them that dad always bought the kids balloons when we went to the zoo, or the park, or the circus, or whatever. And that in order to honor my father's memory, I bought a balloon every year and gave it to a child as my dad did with my kids. I was doing really well without too much crying...just a few stray tears....until the mom started crying and told me that she and her family were honored that I had chosen them and what a beautiful thing to do for my dad. Of course, then my tears started flowing freely. It was a very special moment and the mom and I hugged.

OK, I have been reading like crazy to try and catch up, then I see you have started a PTR :upsidedow that I haven't EVEN looked at, but when I read this post I had to stop.

This made me cry. I bet your dad is smiling knowing that you honor him in this way. What a very special way to carry on the memory of your dad.

So sorry you had a disappointing afternoon. Thank goodness Tigger was there to cheer you up!
Tiggers are good for being bouncy, trouncy, flouncy...... fun fun fun fun fun!

You had some fun little meet and greets along the way.

I love the O Canada! movie. Though it is getting a little tired-and Martin Short is a little outdated.

Hi, Ms. Kat. :wave2:

So sorry it's been a while since I've been over here. :guilty:

I love catching up on your TR, it's so good to see you and Mr. Mark having such a good time together.

You had me in some tears with your story about giving your dad's balloon to that family, I think your dad was making that memory extra special so when you were down about Space Ship Earth you could look back on the balloon memory with a smile. I seriously doubt your dad would be upset with you for not riding. :sad2: Thank goodness you had your handsome, hat wearing hubby to the rescue!! pirate: :goodvibes

I'm glad to see y'all having such a wonderful trip, I can't wait to see pictures of your surprise, as well as with Nikki and Todd coming up!! :thumbsup2

Finally caught up. Love the way you honor your dad.

All caught up now! Loved your most recent updates!

You had a great morning during EMH and got to see and do so much!

That photopass picture with the fireworks...wow! What a perfect magical moment! :goodvibes That's really unfortunate you lost the rest of the pictures, though. We ended up losing a few and getting two different families' pictures on our's as well. It's a dissappointment, for sure! There needs to be some kind of solution to this! Hopefully one happens soon!

We've never eaten there, but the Plaza looks like a really great place for lunch...and ice cream! Yum!

And Kathy, I just love how you honor your dad with getting a balloon for a child before leaving the park. It brought tears to my eyes while reading and it's such a perfect way to remember him while bringing a smile to a child and family as well. It really warmed my heart to read about it and I'm sure it did for the family you chose as well!

ETA: And somehow in my attempts to catch up I missed your very last two posts in Epcot! :-(

I'm so sorry Spaceship Earth was closed for you, Kathy :-(

But, it's good to see the ever lovable Pooh and Tigger could help cheer you up some!

As always I love your Photopass pictures!! You two are just so sweet!

Okay, I think I'm caught up for real now! :-)

I'm so sorry that SE was closed. :sad2: I know that was so disappointing!

Awwwww but you got a lot of Tigger love Kathy! The dancing was a perfect way to cheer you up since you had a great smile on your face!

I actually do have a photo of our meet up near France. Honestly, it's not like I tried to become a part of your travel party, it just worked out that way. ;) (And I'm glad that it did!!)

I loved seeing all the lovey dovey photos of you and Mark. :flower3:

So sorry that SSE was closed... That is so sad. But it looks like Tigger & Pooh made up for it a little bit... it looked like a really fun meet n' greet!

I cannot believe how many times you met up with Brenda and Em... LOL!

D~

I'm sorry that SSE didn't work out for you, but I'm sure your dad would understand. You certainly tried, there's no denying that.

I'm glad that Mark knew what you needed to cheer you up and Tigger seemed to certainly be in a playful mood and ready to help! :thumbsup2

:cool1::cool1::cool1: that you've kept it a secret. Just don't wait 3 months to put the video up, okay. :lmao::lmao::lmao:
Based on the pace of his "current" TR, 3 months might be a bit optimistic. :rotfl2::lmao:

Hi Kathy! I was a few pages behind - love the castle pics if I didn't say so before! You have a lot of fun MK traditions. Your balloon story made me cry. What a sweet way to remember your dad, and so nice that the family you chose could appreciate it and honor him with you. I meant to get all the kids a balloon when we were there, and somehow we just seemed to be rained out every afternoon so it just didn't happen.

I'm sorry SE was closed and that it was so upsetting. So sweet of Mark to find a way to cheer you up. Love your dance with Tigger!
