What Time is the 4 o'clock Rain? -- Updates 11/2-4 -- Tim's surprise and Marco&Recap

Yup... leaving the house by 6:15am on Wednesday morning. :hyper:

Juliana still doesn't know anything yet. I'm gonna try to video tape her when we wake her up. :scratchin

pixiedust: Good luck. (sorry to hyjack Kathy)! Have a wonderful trip. We did the 1 surprise trip. Happy we did, now that is that. Wayy too tough. lol Enjoy!

I am a long time lurker and you have had me in tears twice! I have an older fur baby who I worry every day about and I am so sorry about Cookie. Then you wrote about your father and that really did it. I have enjoyed your trip report so much and thank you for bringing joy to everyone who lives vicariously through you while waiting for their own Disney trip. You and your husband are so adorable together and I applaud you on 30 years! pixiedust:
Thanks for sharing!

Wonderfully said!

I am sorry you weren't able to experience SE on the anniversary. But, maybe there was a reason. Maybe your Dad actually helped things to work out that way with his angel wings. Who knows why. Maybe so you could see once again how caring and wonderful Mark is. Maybe riding it would have made you too emotional. I am happy you were able to get some character mojo to help pick up your mood.

You seem to be so awesome. Maybe some day we can meet. Together over 60 years of marriage. I wish we had met this trip since alot of our days overlapped.

Keep up the great updates & I am totally loving the pictures!

Oops, I have fallen behind with your TR :(
All caught up now and so touched by the balloon story, what a wonderful tribute to your Dad
You have so many lovely PP pics of you both :)

Kathy as usual I am eons behind. I had all these big plans for getting caught up on the DIS while we had that long train ride....I did not anticipate that the WiFi was only in the club car, not throughout the train. foolish me. anyway, I wanted to add a few comments before I go back & finish reading.
We hadn't done a very good job of watching the time and realized that we would not finish lunch to use our fastpasses and we would be late if we tried using them right when the started. So being the kind people we are, we found a newly married couple who were heading towards that area and gave them our fastpasses. I got the biggest smile from the groom and the bride asked if she could hug me. It made me feel good to share some /quote]
How nice to share the magic by gifting your fast passes!!!
We saw Alice skipping to meet some special guests as we continued our walk:

great shot of Alice skipping -even her hair is flippy!!

The view from our window:

Menu:

Soon, we had a visitor:

what a nice view you had. LOVE their menu, even though we've only eaten there once, we will be back. Its so hard to pick reservations because there are so many good places and even more that we've never tried!
good call on the soup. mmmm
and you got to see Ratatouille! :thumbsup2

I'll do replies after the weekend, but I got my Photopass CD and wanted to share the pictures I have up to my latest update. Enjoy:

Just love your photo pass pictures Kathy! You & Mark are so cute!! Love the frame - that does not look like a magic shot. did the guy just happen to have a frame handy?
how sweet that you both wore "mine mine" shirts!!!
We had a short little visit and another photo op (ignore me...Mark got a little too close in this photo and I look drunk!):

oh as opposed to my photo in this location where I AM drunk LOL:rotfl2:

great meet shot Kathy! and how funny that Mark called out from the ride.
We stopped in Norway:

We sat and finished the movie which was about half way over and then stopped in the dump shop. I let Mark play for a bit:

Who can resist that big nose LOL

We stopped in Germany where Mark wanted to see if they had the Apple Wine this time so he could try it.

They didn't have it available to buy the small sample size, so he got something else. And I have no clue what it was, but he seemed to like it.

http://s209.photobucket.com/user/Lu... 20 2013 Part 1/IMG_2845_zpsd5ee264f.jpg.html

I was disappointed last week when I realized that they do not carry the same wines in the store that they serve in the wine sampler in the Biergarten. I had one that I really enjoyed and wanted to take some home, but no such luck. boo.

I promised to post some pictures of our visit to see the kids this weekend when I did my update and forgot...so here you go:

Rolo:

ROlo is sooo cute!

as is Alisha's hair cut!

:grouphug::littleangel:

so glad to at least hear that Mark's company recognizes what a great employee they have by making some adjustments.

Let's get back to some good and happy times, shall we?

So we had jut finished waiting out the rain in Italy and were on our way to America to see the Voices of Liberty:

We arrived early and were able to get a cushion seat by the rotunda to wait for the performers to come out. Before too long, they appeared:

One of these days I WILL get to see and hear the Voice of Liberty live (I've seen a clip on YouTube).

While Marilyn and I got these beauties:

YUMMMMMMM

We took showers, relaxed a little and then hopped in the car to driveto the Yacht Club where we would be having dinner this evening at the Yachtsman Steakhouse.
Dinner at the Yachtsman looked wonderful and I LOVE your dress Kathy!
What a good call to ask for another table.
I just can't get over how some people let their kids run amuk at restaurants & inappropriate (i.e. not a playground!) places! I get that its Disneyworld, but that doesn't mean you let your good manners at home.

I'll be back to finish up later. Need to finish up something at work and then its off to a corn maze/pony ride/fall festival with my Girl Scout troop.

This just in.... not only is Kathy the best DISer evah but she is the nicest person evah!!!!!!! She just sprinkled us with some pixie dust for our trip next week... THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!

sweet, is it a sword so you and Christopher can defend Mel's honor with Gaston :rotfl2:

I have to go now too....but, first.....

had to repost this, just because I can :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

:duck::duck::duck:

Forgive me as I am still trying to catch up....

8/18

So I was up at 6 a.m. and got showered, did my hair (I'm not sure why I continued this task with the humidity) and then got Mark up and he got ready. We were at the car at 7 a.m.

We drove to the Magic Kingdom parking lot, parked the car, walked to the TTC and took the monorail to the Magic Kingdom (didn't have a choice...the ferry wasn't running yet).

We had an early ADR so we were let in a bit early. Here are a few pictures on the way to breakfast:

Wow, the park doesn't look as empty as I have sometime seen it for a prerope drop CP breakfast. (that was what you had, yes?) AND you can tell there had been some rain (or overzealous street cleaners ;))

I'm sure you all know where we were eating breakfast, but here is a picture to give you a hint:

We checked in and before you know it we were being escorted to our table.

The waitress told us the order the characters would come and to help ourselves to the buffet.

Breakfast looks yummy! Makes me want that right now! :scratchin I may have to change my plans (if possible) to include a breakfast at CP in January.

I put Mark in charge of the plans for the morning and he said to go left. So left we went and headed here:

That is so cool that he was happy to be in charge of the morning plans. I am not sure I could get my dh to be so involved.

The first attraction we came upon was:

Mark said let's do this one. So off we went. And who ended up on the ride with us (although not in our carpet), but Aladdin and Jasmine. That was really fun to see.

And I definitely would not get him on that ride let alone suggest it. :rotfl:

After our magic carpet ride, we went to meet Aladdin and Jasmine. They were very talkative and we had a good interaction with them (reminder all photopass pictures will be posted once I get the CD which probably won't be until the end of next week or early the following week).

:cool1: for the character meet but to have them on the ride too???!!! :cool1::cool1::cool1:

/
::yes:: Hey Judy!!! Hope everything's been well with you and the family! :goodvibes
Hi Tim! :wave2: We are good.

I saw Juliana's star  last month when we were at GKTW. :goodvibes Lovethattink went with us for Halloween and she asked to see it. :goodvibes I hope you are well...but I KNOW you are, Disney is on your horizon! :thumbsup2
I think we all KNEW it was just a matter of time before this picture saw the light of day again! :lmao::cool1::lmao::cool1::lmao:

Did Kathy send you another whip today?? Is that why no one is spilling the beans? :confused3:rotfl2::confused3

Man alive! I thought there was another update and got lost trying to figure out what was going on in here!? :rotfl2: Now that I've figured it out that it was all a little inside humor......carry on! :thumbsup2

What????? Do I have to resurrect that picture?
I didn't say yes, sure, why not, go ahead... guess you took the liberty yourself. :rolleyes2

ABSOLUTELY! Don't tempt me! Or I'm spilling the beans.
Again, no answer.... :scratchin

pixiedust: Good luck. (sorry to hyjack Kathy)! Have a wonderful trip. We did the 1 surprise trip. Happy we did, now that is that. Wayy too tough. lol Enjoy!
I surprised them (Melody & Juliana) with a trip before but they knew about it 2 months in advance. This has been a whole new level of secrecy. Not only do the kids have no idea, Melody thinks we are staying at POFQ but I booked a different resort and have ADRs she has no clue about. :rotfl2:

Keep up the great updates & I am totally loving the pictures!
Which pictures are you referring to? :confused3 :badpc::badpc:

sweet, is it a sword so you and Christopher can defend Mel's honor with Gaston
:rotfl2:

Nope... :smokin:

had to repost this, just because I can

:duck::duck::duck:
You better duck!!!!

Who loves you?
Yea, i know..... :worship:

Hi Tim! We are good.

I saw Juliana's star  last month when we were at GKTW. :goodvibes Lovethattink went with us for Halloween and she asked to see it. :goodvibes I hope you are well...but I KNOW you are, Disney is on your horizon!

Right above the girls bathroom. Fitting for her. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

I think we all KNEW it was just a matter of time before this picture saw the light of day again!
For some reason I can't talk Kathy into deleting it. :surfweb:

Did Kathy send you another whip today?? Is that why no one is spilling the beans?
Not quite..... :smokin:

Man alive! I thought there was another update and got lost trying to figure out what was going on in here!? :rotfl2: Now that I've figured it out that it was all a little inside humor......carry on! :thumbsup2
Here is the story (short version) A DIS friend of ours Liesa (All7OfUs) who was living in Kazakstan at the time, was running a game on her PTR. I won the game and she sent me a whip as a prize. As any good DISer does, I took pictures of my package that traveled 1/2 way around the world and of my prize. I figured what is the fun of taking a picture of a whip that is sitting on the stairs, so I had my DW take some pics of the whip in action. Yea, DW thinks I'm a weirdo but she knew what she was getting into when she married me. :rotfl2:

Kathy saved the picture on her computer and she decides to torture me with it once a year.

So that is the back story to the whip picture. :thumbsup2

Aw, so awesome you are surprising your wife with the resort change and adr's. Be careful though my dd caused us all of being too good at lying. Said she's not going to trust us anymore. Lol

Right above the girls bathroom. Fitting for her. :rotfl2::rotfl2:
I said that is where MY star would be if I had a star.

For some reason I can't talk Kathy into deleting it. :surfweb:
Maybe I should copy it to MY computer in case Kathy decides to delete it? I can see it now, all of us with pics of you and your whip on our computer...:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2:

NAH, Kathy would NEVER delete it!!! :thumbsup2

Not quite..... :smokin:

No whips huh...Maybe a wooden spoon???? :rotfl:

I haven't even finished reading through all of the last few pages but I have to stop and comment on two things.

Love the sweet picture of you and Mark in front of the castle.

And you know how much I LOVE reading about the always beautiful balloon tribute to your Dad. Makes me tear up every single time.

Kathy, your balloon tradition is amazing and beautiful. I'm sorry you had to miss Spaceship Earth, but I'm sure your dad understands.

Thanks, Nory.

I was a bit behind...

You were on a trip which is much more important.

I almost got that Dumbo T-shirt, too, and now I really wish I had!

I hope it is still there in 37 days.

That PP pic with the fireworks is awesome!

Thanks. :goodvibes

I'm so glad some quality time with Tigger cheered you up -- how could it not, right? :)

Tigger can cheer any one up.

Wow, I can't keep up!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, Cynthia.

LOVE the kissing photo, incredibly sweet and you really need that Dumbo tee, it is adorable. I teared up over your balloon story, what a perfect family you chose. I am so sorry that SE was closed but so glad Tigger danced with you and Mark facilitated that. What a great DH!

Thank you...it is a great photo. I hope to get the Dumbo t-shirt in December. We really found a great family for the balloon which made me very happy. I was sorry about SE too, but I'll make up for it in December. Mark is truly the best.

pixiedust: Good luck. (sorry to hyjack Kathy)! Have a wonderful trip. We did the 1 surprise trip. Happy we did, now that is that. Wayy too tough. lol Enjoy!

I think they'll have a blast; I can't wait until all of his surprises are revealed.

Dee, that was beautifully said...thank you so very much for opening my eyes to see that.

You seem to be so awesome. Maybe some day we can meet. Together over 60 years of marriage. I wish we had met this trip since alot of our days overlapped.

A true blessing for both of us with how easily marriages are ended nowadays. I hope we can meet one day too.

Keep up the great updates & I am totally loving the pictures!

Thank you.

Oops, I have fallen behind with your TR :(
All caught up now and so touched by the balloon story, what a wonderful tribute to your Dad
You have so many lovely PP pics of you both :)

Thank you; it gives me a very good feeling to pass out that balloon every year. I'm glad you enjoyed the PP pics.

Holy Cow!!!!!

I was about 20 pages behind and I just got caught up !!!! :surfweb:

Not sure I can remember all I wanted to comment on but there goes

Raglan Road looked like a ton of fun. Need to get back to Earl's again, been too long.

I really enjoyed the OKW main pool.

Love how you sped around on your MK morning. Way to go!! :cool1:

As always I get teary over your traditions regarding your Dad and it seems like the mom really got what you were doing.

So sorry SE was down, I know that moment was rough. Happy that your wonderful hubby was able to cheer you up.

Kathy as usual I am eons behind. I had all these big plans for getting caught up on the DIS while we had that long train ride....I did not anticipate that the WiFi was only in the club car, not throughout the train. foolish me. anyway, I wanted to add a few comments before I go back & finish reading.

That sounded like a horrible train ride...I'm so sorry.

I love being able to do that; it looks like it will be a thing of the past though with the new system.

great shot of Alice skipping -even her hair is flippy!!

Yes it is, isn't it? Great catch!

what a nice view you had. LOVE their menu, even though we've only eaten there once, we will be back. Its so hard to pick reservations because there are so many good places and even more that we've never tried!
good call on the soup. mmmm
and you got to see Ratatouille! :thumbsup2

It was a terrific lunch all around.

Just love your photo pass pictures Kathy! You & Mark are so cute!! Love the frame - that does not look like a magic shot. did the guy just happen to have a frame handy?

We first saw the frames in June on our girls trip, and then Mark and I saw it at various parks in August. It is a "magic shot" opportunity.

how sweet that you both wore "mine mine" shirts!!!

Have to make the hubby happy with his Mine Mine's.

oh as opposed to my photo in this location where I AM drunk LOL:rotfl2:

I don't believe that for a minute.

great meet shot Kathy! and how funny that Mark called out from the ride.

He can be such a trouble maker at times.

Who can resist that big nose LOL

Men and kids? LOL

I was disappointed last week when I realized that they do not carry the same wines in the store that they serve in the wine sampler in the Biergarten. I had one that I really enjoyed and wanted to take some home, but no such luck. boo.

I don't get why they do that.

ROlo is sooo cute!

Yes he is, and he's a good puppy too.

as is Alisha's hair cut!

love her new cut; I think it suits her great.

:grouphug::littleangel:

Thank you; we miss her every day.

so glad to at least hear that Mark's company recognizes what a great employee they have by making some adjustments.

As of now; we are still expecting something to happen at the end of the year.

One of these days I WILL get to see and hear the Voice of Liberty live (I've seen a clip on YouTube).

They are terrific.

YUMMMMMMM

Dinner at the Yachtsman looked wonderful and I LOVE your dress Kathy!
What a good call to ask for another table.
I just can't get over how some people let their kids run amuk at restaurants & inappropriate (i.e. not a playground!) places! I get that its Disneyworld, but that doesn't mean you let your good manners at home.

Our new favorite restaurant in all of Disney; and I don't understand it either. Manner should be expected at home and in public.

I'll be back to finish up later. Need to finish up something at work and then its off to a corn maze/pony ride/fall festival with my Girl Scout troop.

You come when you can, Mary Ellen; thanks for coming back...appreciate it.

sweet, is it a sword so you and Christopher can defend Mel's honor with Gaston :rotfl2:

Good one, Lisa.

had to repost this, just because I can :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

:duck::duck::duck:

:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao: Love it!

Forgive me as I am still trying to catch up....

Oh, Ann...you are so sweet. You don't have to do all of that; you could just make some general comments once you are caught up. Seriously, it's truly okay.

8/18

Wow, the park doesn't look as empty as I have sometime seen it for a prerope drop CP breakfast. (that was what you had, yes?) AND you can tell there had been some rain (or overzealous street cleaners ;))

We were all let in as one big group for breakfast and the tour group too, I believe. They had overzealous street cleaners; the rain hadn't started...yet!

Breakfast looks yummy! Makes me want that right now! :scratchin I may have to change my plans (if possible) to include a breakfast at CP in January.

We really love CP; Mark and I were talking about next year's plans and he told me to be sure I kept CP on it.

That is so cool that he was happy to be in charge of the morning plans. I am not sure I could get my dh to be so involved.

I think with ALL of the planning I do without asking him, he enjoyed having the 'power' for a little bit.

And I definitely would not get him on that ride let alone suggest it. :rotfl:

We don't do it often, but it's fun every once in awhile.

:cool1: for the character meet but to have them on the ride too???!!! :cool1::cool1::cool1:

It was fun actually having them on the ride while we were on it.

:drinking1 You got that right! :p

I think it might be a good thing Mark is NOT on Facebook with Michael; we'd really be in trouble.

I think we all KNEW it was just a matter of time before this picture saw the light of day again! :lmao::cool1::lmao::cool1::lmao:

Did Kathy send you another whip today?? Is that why no one is spilling the beans? :confused3:rotfl2::confused3

It's been awhile since that picture appeared, hasn't it Judy? Nope, I did not send him a whip.

Man alive! I thought there was another update and got lost trying to figure out what was going on in here!? :rotfl2: Now that I've figured it out that it was all a little inside humor......carry on! :thumbsup2

Linda, Tim and I go way back here on the DIS. He and his beautiful daughter, Juliana, were my first real DIS "get to know you outside the DIS" friends.
