Kathy I did our magic bands last night for our Dec trip. It is getting close I know you have a short trip in Dec but hope we get to meet

GrammyJudy, we've not done magic bands. I think we can get them, but so far Mary and the girls cannot so we are waiting for them.

Once I start my PTR for the December trip, we are going to talk about a big DIS meet. There are so many on this TR that are going to be there, that I'm hoping we can arrange one big meet. Or at least a couple of small ones.

Today was a day I had been looking forward to for a couple of months. We had two DIS meets scheduled and I was really looking forward to them. But first things first: we have to get to the park where we are having the first DIS meet.

We were up and showered and out the door by 7:30. We were driving here:



We parked the car here



and made our way to the entrance. It was EMH's on this Monday morning at the AK.

First stop was a photopass photo:





After our photo shoot, we headed here:



And before we knew it, we were here:



Those of you have followed my TR's in the past, know that I no longer do this ride (unless I am with a couple of urchins who have no one else to ride with and beg me silly).

So while Mark rode, I took some photos:

















I timed it well to enter into the Bazaar and was able to get Mark's redneck ride photo:



Mark gladly stopped for a moment to try on a hat for all of you:



After that, we decided to go to Dinoland so I can get my ride on.

I got inside and I was the ONLY one in the preshow area.

Mark met me in the dump shop after my ride where we proceeded to try on a few hats:





We had to visit our friend:





After visiting the dinosaurs, we decided to slowly make our way to Kilimanjaro Safaris for fastpasses after our breakfast ADR. A few photos along the way:







We stopped on the way in a gift shop as I was searching for the perfect gift for MeMom's granddaughter who had recently had surgery on both of her feet and was in two casts. Brooklyn is a huge animal lover and I found the perfect gift: a giraffe pillow for her to rest her feet on.

While we were in the shop, Mark and I decided to try on a few new hats:









Shopping done, we arrived here:





The fastpasses were too early for us to get yet as we weren't sure with breakfast and our DIS meet if we'd be done in time. So we stalled and did what any staller would do: we went shopping.









After browsing the shop, we headed out and got our Fastpasses for our two-week safari and headed back to check in for breakfast.

Your photos of EE are great. The area is so beautifully themed, there is so much to look at.
We have not been on Dinosaur in ages. Your photos just made me remember that we really need to fit it in next time we get to AK.

What a nice relaxed morning at AK!

I'm surprised you will ride Dinosaur but not EE. I find Dinosaur (although I love it) to be much jerkier than EE. I also find SM to be worse than EE. Is it the backwards part that gets you?

I think the best hat ones this time are the Sully hat and the Elephant Ears headband. The headbands with the tails are all very cute and that's the first time I've seen those ones. Oh, and the red hard hat made him look like a Minion! Yeah, I know, wrong park.

So we made our ways over to Tusker House to check in for our breakfast ADR. After getting our beeper, we were called about 15 minutes later to get in line to meet Donald and then be taken to our table.

Our table was located in the back room. It took awhile for our server to come over, but when he did he brought us a glass of this yumminess:



The characters were not going to be over for at least 15 minutes, so we went to get some food.

We weren't sure if we were going to see Goofy or not because he kind of passed our table to go to another one. But the handler was sure to bring him back to see us:



We finished up breakfast, paid our bill and then I texted our DIS friend to see if she had arrived (she had a later ADR than us for breakfast). I didn't hear back so we walked outside to see if maybe she just didn't hear her phone. And we found her and her daughter in line waiting to get their picture taken with Donald Duck.

We had finally met up with Brenda (emmysmommy) and her daughter, Emily. They asked the Photopass photographer if they would mind doing just pictures of the two of them and then four of us as a group and they were happy to oblige:



The hostess took Brenda and Emily to their table and we went with as I had brought them each a little gift. Mark played photographer and got a photo of the three of us:



Let me just say that both of these ladies are absolutely charming. Mark and I were hoping for some more time with them, but they had to have breakfast and we had fastpasses burning in our pockets. We hugged our new friends goodbye. But would it be the last time we would see them this trip?

Loved Tusker House breakfast buffet!! This year we ar doing CP and GG and Akrhaus !!! I suck in 3 character meals this trip, and I don't think Carol knows yet!! Next yar I am eiter doing Tusker house ,or CP for breakfast !!!

Oh, oh, oh, those gals look familiar!! We were honored to have met you and Mark and to have scored a place in your EPIC Trip Report!! I'm so glad that worked out. And if I would pay more attention to my phone in my bag, I wouldn't be so tardy with text responses. Oops!

I didn't know it was EMH that morning.. we got off the sunrise safari and I though, wow, there's a lot of people in here early for breakfast! You accomplished a lot before breakfast. I don't think we did that much all day!

Love the selection of hats. I see Mark now creates new versions by stacking them. Very creative!

Now that is what I call the highlight to any trip to WDW; a visit with the main man himself. You all thought it is Mickey, but Goofy is truly the main man in WDW.
