What Time is the 4 o'clock Rain? -- Updates 11/2-4 -- Tim's surprise and Marco&Recap

Great updates! Loved the Christmas shop photos. I really wanted some of the hat ornaments, but could you believe how $$$$ they are?! :faint:
Earl of Sandwich is our go-to place at DTD, too. Always sad when the line is too long. Though your meal from WPE didn't look too bad.
Sorry to hear about your brother. Will keep him in our thoughts and prayers and hope all turns out well.

OH my gosh 3rd floor and no elevator!? I can't believe that! I really like the room. I think it is the first time I have seen the new bedding and it looks nice.

Glad i got to catch up before heading off to bed! Hat pictures....really??? I'm shocked:lmao::lmao: You guys make me laugh!

WPE....our fav CS hands down! So yummy!

Love your room, one of these years I would love to stay at OKW....love the theming there!

Thank you Mr. Mark :goodvibes

I love the look of OKW. One of these days we'll have to rent points and try it. I think I'd enjoy the vibe of the place.

I almost quoted Millie when I copied a post which would have made this even more relevant since she said she finally got her hiney over here.... I was gonna say... not sure I want eyes on the TP when I'm doing my business.

Ahhhh WPE. I LOVE that place.

Glad to know that Mark is fulfilling his obligation to the Disers to keep us entertained with the fabulous hat selections. Great job!

That first glimpse of the castle is always so wonderful! :faint:

Caught up!

Funny pictures at the airport! Love them!

Yay for a great flight! :cool1:

Yay for a room near the hospitality house. 3rd floor? Yikes! Every time I think about carrying luggage up multiple flights I think of the cardiac stress test. That is now my marker of a good trip - if you can get the luggage up the steps, everything will be all right! :rotfl2:

Perfect timing on the ready room!

So glad you are all settled in and already in the park. You were a busy girl yesterday!

WOO HOO for getting a new one at Christmas. I was going to wait until December, but because I renewed within 30 days of the current one expiring, we saved $90 (that buys my TIW card when we get there in December). Do you have an idea of when in summer? We are going late May/early June--the girls and I that is.

I thought about renewing for the discount, but it wouldn't cover next year's October trip, so my best value is going to be getting a new one in December. I hope my budget allows me to take the four trips I want to with it. :)

As for summer, we are waiting for my school district to vote on next year's calendar. This is supposedly going to be done this week. We are hoping to go in mid to late July.

This picture makes me smile, because the next time I go, the whole place will be dressed up in Christmas attire! :santa:

Your food looks good.

I have never stayed at OKW, but I love the atmosphere, and I have visited there many times.

Yikes! 3rd floor with out an elevator... I am not sure I could do that? Getting the luggage up wouldn't be an issue... However, getting my rear up after a long day in the parks, very well could be. I sure hope you all made it back to your room every night.

We haven't ever spent time at OKW, but we always mangage to drop off at OKW on our way to FQ for ME... And every time we do, Alli drools - I have a feeling that is where she will want to stay for her graduation trip...

Great updates Kathy! Can't wait to hear about the rest.

We love WPE. We almost always eat there. Except for this last trip since we heard that parking was non-existent.

You need to show mickeystoontown (Leslie, I think her name is??) that SCAR photo. She would get a kick out of that.

We love Old Key west, but hate the fact that they don't have elevators.

All caught up! Looks like you had a nice, smooth arrival day. The room location on the third floor isn't optimal but it is good that you had GG to bring up your heavy stuff for you. We ordered from them when we stayed at AKL and it was fantastic.

I love how Mark is such a good sport about taking his hat pictures for the TR readers - the reports just wouldn't be the same without those pictures!

Your choices at WPE look delicious! I've only ever had flatbread from there, but it was quite good as well.

Yikes. 3rd floor and no elevator. But overall OKW has such a nice, relaxing, island feel. Hopefully you were able to get your bags upstairs with minimal hassle.

Tammy, how long of a drive is it for you? We used to drive it when the kids were little (the first time we flew was when we went for Andy's 8th grade baseball trip to Disney....so that was like 13 years ago. I'd keep them away from the monorail this trip...it's been having lots of issues.

It is 17 hours non-stop. We do a lot of overnight driving, since Jon will be coming off overnight hours, he will be "normal" during the night and I will drive some during the day. I have no worries about the way down. It is the way home that stinks. We are always so much more tired on the way home.

Shoot! I hope they have the monorail running better in December. The kids LOVE the monorail. It was half the excitement last trip!

Ok, I now know I need to add Wolfgang Puck Express to our dining list! It looked so yummy!! I am hoping we have enough DTD time this trip. Seems like it is turning into a go, go, go trip.

Love the hat pictures... that's when I know your trip has started! :rotfl:

Yay, you made it!

I really want to stay at OKW one of these days...I love the vibe of the place.

I need to try Wolfgang Puck Express. Every trip I say I am going to try something new and end up at Earl of Sandwich.

I love the Christmas shop pictures, no trip to DTD is complete until I pick out a new decoration or two.

:woohoo: Love the feeling of a Disney arrival day!

A special thank-you to Mark for continuing to work so hard to please his faithful readers.:thumbsup2

One of these days I'll try out WPE. Really, I will. I just have such a hard time passing up EoS.

Even though your room wasn't there when you arrived, it's nice that you were able to pick up some lunch in Downtown Disney and do a little window shopping.

Ahhhh, that first glimpse of the castle! What a way to start a vacation!

I just love the look of OKW. Maybe someday...

WPE looks yummy. Still haven't eaten anywhere at DTD, not sure why, it just never happens for us :confused3

Glad you didn't have any monorail troubles.

Ahhh....that first glimpse of the castle. Love it.
Question...you have been to WDW countless times. Does that first castle sighting ever become just "meh"?? I know you still love Disney because you keep going over and over, but does it ever become just ho hum after all those trips?
