What time is it now and how's the Weather Temperature in your neck of the woods?

It was raining pretty hard here earlier. Seems to have stopped now though! My husband called and informed me that our basement had water in it again! Thank god the heat from the woodstove keeps it from getting moldy down there!

Yeah I saw that we're supposed to get 3-4" of snow tonight too, but it's suppsed to start as sleet for us!

It's 2:48p and 38 degrees and it has stopped raining for now.


To bad about your basement, I do like all the rain. I would rather have this then all the white stuff. But not good for your basement. I think the people next door do the same thing, they also have a woodstove in there house. They had the yard around the foundation dug up last summer. To fill in the cracks, well I don't think that helped. I see the drain pipes going half way out in the yard, because of the rain. I guess the filling of the cracks didn't work. They should have put in a drain pipe under the ground along the foundation.

The back of our roof is almost flat, and we're now having alot of problems with ice dams, so it's time for a new roof. My husband wants a metal roof, so we'll never have problems like this again...but I think metal roofs are soooo ugly! I have a feeling I'm going to lose this battle!

I like the look of a metal roof, they do come in many colors now. I didn't look into it when we did ours. But I did pick a roof that's got a lot of blue in it, we have a blue cape. It does look nice, the roof people thought to them selfs that's not going to look good. Well after it was done they said it really does. It's not to much blue mostly black with a touch of blue.

We have a cape also, it originally had a huge crawl space that ran the width of the house for storage, but the prior owners build onto the house and now the attic is off to the side of our bedroom, not over our bedrooms. There is like nothing between our bedroom ceilings and the roof..other than some insulation (I hope!).

That's why I keep telling Shawn NO on the metal roof, but he's insisting on it! We would have to get some kind of sound deadening material to put between the roof and the metal roof....if it's available.

Oh h*ll no! This roof is not going to ruin my WDW plans this year! I got jipped out of last years vacation....not going to happen again this year! I'll pimp my husband out to get my Disney fix if I have to! I hope the tag fairy isn't around to see that!

It's 9:35a and 26 degrees, it's getting colder not warmer. When I got up this morning around 7:30a it was 30!

What a dud this storm was! Yeah, we had thunder last night too, but it was still raining. We have maybe a 1/2" of snow on the ground right now...It's snowing now, but really light, so I can't see this stuff accumulating to anything.

It's not doing anything here in Worcester anymore either! We were supposed to get 2-4" here too, I don't even think we got an inch! Oh well...the shovels stay in the garage tonight!
