Sue, Canada just had an earthquake ... 5.5 and it has been felt throughout the Northeast ... NY and ME to name a few besides, Toronto, Ottawa, Quebec. Ugh.
11:50am in SUN Diego, Bright sun, 71 comfy degrees.
2:11 pm. Cloudy at the moment. Making a lot of noise outside, so we'll see if it does anything. Sure could use the rain. Wildfires are still burning from 2 weeks ago. Hopefully this won't cause any more.

Hey Thumper, ITA w/you, I hope you get rain. Just spoke w/Mike and he is one of the Rangers heading up this special trek called Rayado. They will hike 200 miles in 20 days. He said it is very dry and they have a fire ban on which means no camp fires at all. They have to be very creative with their meal planning w/o fire. This was his first call to us in 10 days and he is sitting atop MOUNT BALDY where he actually got cell service. He said the trek has been so amazing and he has not slept in his tent at all ... all under the stars!!!
Rayado Program
A prestigious and very strenuous twenty-day program. Scouts are challenged physically, mentally, and spiritually. Rayado crews, accompanied by two of the Ranger Department's best qualified members, are put together by Philmont staff, and consist of people from different parts of the country.
Well I will say I am on the coast ... if you drive inland, which we did last weekend to sight see a bit, the temps went from 70 degrees when we left the coast to 100 degrees inland by Escondido ... BUT I will say it is very dry, no humidity. Living by the coast, we have a constant breeze all the time.
In NW Portland, OR it's 63 degrees and 12:49PM. We're supposed to get up to 78 today but maybe, just maybe, we'll get our 4th day of the year that goes above 80, lol.
