What time does Southwest release new dates?

I am traveling in April of 2018 and Southwest is saying that they will release tickets for April through June starting tomorrow August 28th. I know in past years it seems they open up flights for the new dates around 6AM ET. Is that still the case or have they changed again?

Southwest doesn't give an official time, just the date. In the spring when they released dates for this fall, it wasn't until almost 8 when they were finally loaded.

And just FYI - I've always gotten great rates right at opening in years past, but this year prices were high right from release. I was really caught off guard and couldn't decide whether to buy or not. Make sure you know what your upper limit is ahead of time, bc if you hesitate at all, the initial prices may already be gone.

Yes. In April it was somewhere between 7:30-8 am eastern. The year before that it had been much earlier.

bought my flights down and the price for the way home was too high so I will shop around some more! At least we are set for the BDL to MCO leg. no way am I paying sw 307 to fly home, will wait to see if anyone drops over the next few days.

GOT OUR AIRFARE!!!!!!!

Flights from Albany NY to MCO and back again!!!! Both non-stop and under $200 round trip. It is so worth it to get up early for these prices.

Usually fly out of BDL or PVD, but ended up booking flights out of LaGuardia to FLL for a cruise over April vacation.
