Tomorrow is the day I can purchase my airfare:cool1::cool1:! What time do the fares open up? TIA!!!!!!!

I too am waiting for tomorrow! Looking for a flight after my cruise from Ft. Lauderdale to Orlando.

Should I be on a mdinight tonight? What about Spirit Airlines....thye are quite cheap, however they are too cheap and that scares me that thye may go under?

I am definitely curious, as I have heard they fill up pretty quickly.

I know AirTran releases theirs at like midnight or first thing in the morning. I have heard that it is usually around 9 or 10 in the morning, but I honestly have no idea.

Do you mean they are opening up more dates? We are waiting for Dec dates to come up for SW- is that happening tomorrow?

Yes......that's the plan at least. According to their site, they are opening up dates through January 15th tomorrow.

Okay.....a question for you guys. If I book non-refundabel tickts, for Dec, and something happens and we end up not going, I'm assuming those funds go into a 'holding account' of sorts and I can use the credits for up to a year?? If I have had doubts in the past about maybe not being able to go, I have just booked fully refundable fares, but I don't want to tie up close to $2500 again. If I can book non-ref and then get a credit if we can't go, I would be thrilled. Am I correct?

When the schedule has been extended, tickets for the new dates usually have gone on sale at approximately 10:00 a.m. Central time. There were some reports that they were available earlier the last time SWA extended their schedule, however.

One thing I've noticed as well... usually, the "Book Travel" link at the top of the page is updated with the new information well before the "Book a Flight" dropdowns on the entry page are updated.

It's usually at 10am Central, but I believe last time it was closer to 11. In any case, it won't be before 10.

You have to fly within 12 months of your original reservation. In other words you have to fly by 6/21/2010 if you book your flight now.
Cancel your December trip and you'll have less then 6 months from your cancelled trip date to take your next trip.

Ahhhhh! Excellent point. I think we may try to avoid those nasty Christmas fares and fly in mid-Jan. Maybe book our flight down, Jan 14 or 15. And then wait for them to open the next window for our return.

This is just the info I needed, thanks all:grouphug:

Argh! I need Jan 8 and Jan 16! So, I have to wait for the next installment for the return!

Sorry, but no -- eastern is an hour later than central, so 11am.
Yep, we're an hour ahead of central time, 3 hrs ahead of Calif. We don't get to book until 11am tomorrow.
