What time does a late arrival become a no show?

Hi
We are flying to WDW in a couple months but our flight does not land until midnight. So we will probably get to the resort around 1:30 or 2am. We do have a room reserved for our arrival. Has any one had problems with this kind of arrangement? Any suggestions? At what point are you a no show?

Thanks!!

I've not arrived that late (midnight or so was the latest) but I'd call MS and have them note on the reservation the time you will be arriving. I called the resort directly when we realized we were going to be delayed until after midnight. It did not seem to be a concern to them but I'd probably do it again.

As KAT suggested, just call the resort and let them know you will be a late arrival and approximate time you expect to arrive. There is no problem with a late arrival. Your account will already have been charged the points, but the villa is yours whenever you arrive during that stay.

Enjoy! :)

My understanding is that you would not be considered a no show until early the next morning.

But, as long as you let them know you will be arriving late, there won't be any issues.

If you are using ME, they know your flight arrival time.:)

We have arrived that late and later (west coasters), and we have never had an issue with check-in.

Don't know if DVC is any different than the cash resorts.

But on one trip, a thunderstorm parking itself over the airport caused a very late takeoff, and we didn't arrive at the Yacht Club until 2:30am. Still, no problem with check-in.

I would also consider doing online check-in as well, and even there make a note anywhere possible about the late arrival. We had a late arrival for a cash stay at CR in July, arrived between 2 and 3am, and the check-in person had our folder ready for us so the check in was super-quick.

It is never a problem, just as stated above let them know. We have arrived as late as 5am Thanksgiving morning. Our room was waiting for us no problem, we even had a full size ME bus to our selves.

A couple of Christmass ago we had a 5 hour delay in Atlanta sitting on a runway and we were not able to call out with cells. We were able to call the hotel before boarding the plane and let them know we would be delayed, but didn't know the extent. We arrived to the hotel @ 4:00 am and they knew who we were (I guess we were the only ones still not checked in for the day before) and the room was waiting for us.

No worries, just let the hotel know of your travel and everything will be ok.

Halloween 2009 we drove down overnight to our home resort after trick-or-treating, planning on arriving around 7ish for park opening but apparently left early/drove fast because we got in around 4a. The CM asked if we were checking in for 10/31 or Nov 1 ... apprently they still had quite a few guests that hadn't checked in ... which I thought was weird but it must not be that uncommon, esp around holidays. :confused3
We napped in the car til park opening and had our room around 11a, but curious when the other people who had reservations from the night before showed up and why ...:rolleyes1

We almost always take the last flight of the day and arrive at the resort between midnight and 1 am. It's never been a problem and our room has always been available. We had to wait for the ME bus in June and didn't arrive at the BWV until 2 am and checked in and got to our room by 2:10.

I have never had a problem even with a delayed flight. Call and have them make a note in your reservation and you will be fine.

You'll be ok, Especially with extra magic and what not people get in late sometimes. I've been confirmed the last person to check in before at 2:30am lol! I would let the reservation person know to tag you as a late check in, but even if not you shouldn't have a problem... I did that and they seemed to know it was me when I got there? lol! I guess because I was the last one and they knew I was tagged with a late check-in, I think even the guard at the front knew, so it probably helps!

You have ALREADY paid for your room via your points. It is your room for the entire stay even if you arrive 1 or 2 days late. DVC can not rent the room to someone else because you have paid for the stay, in full, already.

this is per Member Service. I had the same issue when I arrived at 3 am.

It wouldn't hurt to let the resort know of the late arrival, but it is not necessary
